How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Chalets we're a little tired, but really spacious and comfy.
Location was fantastic for our stop over travelling from the South of France back to the UK. Staff were great site was quiet and great for our family, restaurant was lovely and food was fantastic.

Additional comfy seating in the lounge may make it more relaxing.
Great place to break our drive home. Fantastic pool for the kids to relax in, comfortable well equipped chalet and lovely staff. Great meal in the restaurant too.

The towels and bed sheets were very expensive to rent, and we only received hand towels.
The staff are very friendly and the location made this stop perfect for us. The kids had great fun in the swimming pool.

No aircon or equipment to clean when we left. Sheets were a bit expensive.
Clean and comfortable. Nice restaurant and pool on site. Good location for breaking a trip into two. Would definitely stay again.

The cost of the sheets was a bit much. No aircon so very hot especially in 35 degrees.
Lovely restaurant on site. Cabins clean and comfortable. Pool is a welcome addition. Great location for stopping half way down France.

All was good. Pool could be a bit more clean but for the rest all perfect.
Nice area, ideal for a break during the trip to southern French coast. We booked the same accommodation on our way back. We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view on the lake.

Nice spacious terrain with a very simple but clean house. It was all we needed as this was just a one night stopover for a trip more to the south. The pool was nice, there is a nice restaurant and a lake to swim or rent a rowing boat. We will probably return.

The restaurant kitchen is very basic. Good food, but nothing fancy.
Awesome chalet overlooking a small lake. We loved it. Stayed for 1 night passing through on a motorcycle vacation. Were able to park the bikes right next to the chalet.

Not much shops locally in case u have to buy any essentials. However u should come packed and prepared
Quiet location. We booked the standard chalet and arrived late, so we didn't get to see the superior chalet option. It was a 1 night stay so we were satisfied. Plus the weather wasn't great so we couldn't enjoy all the outdoor activities. But overall, the staff were kind and helpful and it was a nice short stay 4 us

It was all good
Cabin had everything we needed, comfortable stay and lovely view of the lake, even though it was across a car park. Swimming in the lake was lovely. All the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Nothing, for us it was exactly what we wanted. If you are after a luxury stay, this is not for you.
Chalets had everything we needed; kitchenette was more than adequate to make a meal, although there was a bar/restaurant on site too. Pool was a bonus as was the access to the lake. Great to be able to book for a single night as it is a very handy stopover.

located on picturesque countryside surrounded by many nice villages and farms, close to a lake. the beautiful fortified city Langres is close by, too. The personnel is very friendly and helps immediately.

Make sure you bring your own towels and bedsheets to avoid paying extra fee (which seemed excessive) This was not sufficiently clear during the booking. Fortunately the accomodation informed us of that aspect the same day (Thanks!) and we were able to make an informed decision. No regrets!
Great bungalow, ZERO moskittos at night, which allowed us to watch the perseides. Nice swimming pool and great lake (it had some bacteria warning this time) but nevertheless, a good shower later was enough. The bungalow had everything needed and staff was great.
