Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe chalets/maisonettes are VERY small for a family of 6. The close proximity of neighbours led to cigarette smoke coming in through our upstairs window, and we were barked at by their dog so could not use the veranda when they were there. The kitchen is tiny and not equipped for cooking anything complicated. The stove top was not that hot at level 9. The fittings and fixtures are functional but dated. The TV was useless, as you could view just a single French channel.
The pool complex and sports facilities were excellent and we made good use of them. I think the children swam 9 times in 5 days! The life-guards were diligent and made the experience safe, without being over-bearing and unnecessarily bossy. We also liked the mature gardens.

NetherlandsThe size of apartment was horrible. We were traveling with 2 adults and 2 kids and did not fit in the apartment, but it says 2 adults. Yes, they would fit standing up - but that's not ok at all. The balcony was uncovered and in that part of the country it rains every day - but hey, you literally don't have place to put your towels to dry inside - physically doesn't fit. So yeah, good luck at the family resort with swimming pool with no means to dry your towels. Oh and also, I am an averagely sized male and bath towel looked like mini skirt on me - these might seem like small things but they are very important when you're trying to relax.
The village itself is great, very green and full of things to do as swimming pool, sports, etc. The apartment was clean and the stuff is doing their best to be helpful.

United KingdomIt was a bit care worn and could do with some updating. Most annoying was that one of the pools was broken for half the week we were there
There’s a lot for kids of all ages to do and it’s safe to leave older kids in pool as there’s lots of lifeguards

United KingdomThe sofas in the lounge were sofa beds, but I don't know if it was the age of them or the style, but the cushions kept sliding off, so sitting on them wasn't easy! This was a shame as all other facilities and parts of the accommodation were really good.
The accommodation and facilities were very clean and tidy. It was far better than a lot of other places we've stayed at, so we were pleasantly surprised!

United KingdomA bit tired duplex. And the stairs of the duplex upstairs with a 3 year old were a concern to us.

FranceA bit of cutting grass would improve things. The living room is a bit too small than expected. the showers in the swimming pool didn't work very well. I received 50 confirmation emails. The lighting is a bit limited at night in the residence area.
It's a good choice for families with kids. There are three of us, but I have booked a place for five as the three-place property is too small for three people. The property was clean and in a great location—only a 25-minute drive to Deauville and 18 minutes' drive to U-Xpress supermarket. The beds are comfortable and the parking area is close to the property. You have free access to the swimming pool, hot tub, and indoor playground during your stay. The heating in the property was great.

United KingdomIt was very hot and sunny which was great but we really needed an umbrella for the patio as the sun was too intense there.
We loved the location with beautiful scenery and lots of trees and woodland. Also lots of wildlife - my sons loved watching the bats come out at dusk and listening to the crickets. The play facilities for the kids were amazing, as well as the pools and the crazy golf so there was plenty to do.

United KingdomWe needed more pots and pans in the kitchen of different sizes. The bar had very limited opening times, we couldn't get the children ice cream in the afternoon.
We loved the pool and indoor playground. The dining table accomodated all of us. The little terrace and drying rack were very nice and useful.

United KingdomRooms small, especially if more than two people. Not enough food preparation workspace. Could do with general updating. Recycling could be simplified and better signage.
Staff pleasant. Site clean and tidy. Was exactly what we were expecting. Good value for money.

United Kingdomextra charges for early check in... not heard of anywhere else in europe....sadly room was ready and empty ... i can imagine if it wasn't ready and full summer season... seems a bit odd... i would prefer pay extra for longer hours of using swimming pool than early check in... they pool closes now at 7pm where i could happy pay for longer hours
perfect for few days stay, quiet, hot and cold water, working heating, all you need in kitchen plus dishwasher... good location.. nice receptionist spoken excellent english, when emailed i had response back...

United KingdomThe pool hours were a bit limiting, opening at 10 and closing at 8, plus they sometimes closed early. So if you wanted to have a day out you’d have to get back early to get to use the pool, which didn’t work for us, but not a problem if you just hung around locally. We went during the October school holiday so maybe a little out of season and the hours are perhaps different at other times of year. A chopping board would have been useful in the apartment kitchen, but it was generally very well equipped.
Lovely, clean apartment, warm and comfortable and loads of hot water. Really nice views from the apartment (we had a small apartment that slept five, it was compact but well laid out). Good parking nearby and friendly staff. Great swimming pool, understandably busy but had a sauna, two jacuzzis, pool play equipment and was very child friendly and felt very safe with two lifeguards present.
