The electronic lock on the entrance to the building was not working and we could hear people entering the property at night. Came down on the third morning to see a rough sleeper lying in the entrance hallway. It was obviously him shouting during the night. Not a pleasant site and accept people have to sleep somewhere. Came back in at 10 am and he was abusive towards us as we ignored his demands. This situation needs addressing as although the apartment has a lock this represents a big risk to those entering and leaving and potentially to the properties within the building. Stairs are steep. No issue for us but could be for those with mobility issues as the apartment is located on the 2nd floor

Quirky accommodation. Centrally located in the centre of carcassonne. Good facilities and had all necessary equipment etc. close to public transport restaurants grocery stores and 15/20 walk up to cite

Broken kitchen cupboard also lots of light bulbs have gone so unable to make it cosy with low lighting. Also led candles need batteries if to be of use. Shower could also do with unblocking as drains very slowly and could cause a problem. As we stayed for a week extra towels and a sheet would of been good. None of this spoilt our stay just feed for the owner as easy to remedy.

Central location and also quiet. All the facilities to cater for yourself should you not chose to visit the many local restaurants near by. Supermarket also close by. Nice theme with the apartment. I would happily stay again.

Building the apartment is in: was unpleasant around the staircases and the lock on the front door was not secure - we watched a neighbour just push it open without the code!

Location cannot be beaten in Carcassonne. Unique design, comfortable and nice touches like the treasure hunt.

- The neigbour downstairs knocked our door to ask for 10€ saying that he has a child that needs food. When I offered to give food, he just rejected and left. It was very inappropriate

- Location is perfect to visit Christmas markets. - There are a nice bakery very close to the flat - Flat is nicely decorated and the treasure hunt is fun for the kids. - Small balcony with a table and chairs (bird sh*t from previous comment was still on the table 😂)

You need to be aware of the narrow stairs if you have luggage to bring up, but they are in keeping with the building's age and design.

Location was excellent as were the facilities and the decor was fun. Wifi, TV and coffee machine all very good, a very comfortable place to stay.

For a start the location is perfect, right beside the main square with all the bars and restaurants, and only 15 minutes walk to the castle which is a lovely walk. The apartment is lovely and clean spotless, has everything ya need bed is big and comfy too, we would definitely return. The hosts an easy to contact and very helpful!!

The stairs might be steep and narrow for some people with mobility issues. This is the style of the old buildings.

Unfortunately when we entered the hallway of the building we encountered 2 junkies smoking inside. We called the agency renting the property who contacted the owner who sent junkies away. Both agency and owner reacted very quickly and were helpful. However, before we left the flat to make a stroll in the city, from the balcony we saw junkies banging on the main entrance door again, showing middle finger to us and shouting somebody’s name (they probably knew one of the neighbours in the building who also maybe let them in earlier or they got inside themselves because the entrance doors do not close properly). When we came back from our stroll in the evening the main entrance door to the building was wide open…I believe that owners put effort into keeping the flat nice (no issues with the flat) and they said they had never encountered this before, however, our trip was spoilt, kids were scared and we were glad we only stayed for one night. The place didn’t feel safe for us and we wouldn’t recommend it to families or solo travellers. The entrance hall is also very dirty.

The place is wonderful, all the decorations make it unique specially if you are a medieval nerd. The quest to find the treasure was a touch! Very comfortable and spacious, board games (carcassonne of course), TV with netflix, etc It is well located. I would totally recommend

Loved the medieval theme and addition of artefacts! Lots of photo opportunities. Location was superb - just off the main square but still quiet enough for a great rest. Communication was excellent!

Beautiful apartment, well situated. We travelled for a couple of days with 2 kids. It was very comfortable, we had every we need and it was so easy to reach local restaurants and bars, with the old cite only a short walk away. Hosts were so helpful and we would definitely stay again ☺️

it was clean, had all the kitchen equipments to cook if I needed. bathroom was updated and beautiful. Decor was wonderful with the knight in the dining room and chairs that look like thrones, and my kid was super excited to “dine like a princess”. Most of all, the owner was super prompt with communication and helped us when we were in trouble. This was absolutely wonderful stay and we would recommend to anyone!!

The heating in the apartment was totally inadequate. Even with the 2 small radiators on all day I had to wear a thermal coat all the time I was inside and 2 quilts on the bed plus had to get a hot water bottle. I’ve never felt as cold when staying in a rented property

The property is in an amazing location and has good facilities for a summer vacation but for a winter vacation
