Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenSmall but good breakfast. Clean rooms, nice hard beds. Great outdoor bar for relaxing after skiing all day. Right next to the lift. 15 minute walk to town or free shuttle bus just outside the hotel. Whats not to like?

United KingdomBreakfast could have had more than bread and sugary cereals for vegetarians. No cooked breakfast despite being attached to a restaurant. No dinner option and limited restaurant options which were all fully booked except for the pizza place. However Chatel is a bus one way and a nice walk back. Chatel is really nice and charming and food food options / shops etc.
Super location right near the slopes, more modern and nicer than the photos suggested. Very clean and well kept. Right next to Ski hire shop then a hop to the Gondola. Linga is a great fast connection to Avoriaz / Morzine or the Swiss side if you are a good and fast on the slopes. Nice large rooms and a nice temperature. Liked that they had oat milk. Swimming pool and Sauna were nice, clean and good.

SwedenThe doors to the rooms did not have the same standard as rest of the hotel. Sound from the hallway was very loud due to an open space below the door.

United KingdomThe hotel bar is quite a nice spot for an apres ski drink, but it shuts pretty early. It's a shame that we couldn't get a drink in the hotel when we got back after eating in town.
Nice hotel in a great location. It's just a few metres walk to the Linga bubble and you can ski right up to the terrace of the hotel at the end of the day. Breakfast is the usual French continental approach, with a good range of choices.

United KingdomWe walked into Chatel on one night, if buses have finished it’s a pretty long slog so wouldn’t recommend! There are only about x3 options locally for dinner, we ate at Renard most nights. Places book up quickly so book ahead. Or there is the half board option where dinner is a fixed menu served 7-8pm in the hotel. There are x2 lounge type areas but they’re not particularly warm.
We arrived late at night which was no problem as there’s a PIN code to access the building after hours. There is a lift which is handy with heavy luggage if on higher floor. Room was much bigger than I expected, we had a quad room and was more than big enough for x4 adults with two separate rooms. Room was lovely and warm, with radiator on 24/7 which you can control. The pool 11am-8pm and accessed with a PIN code. The pool isn’t especially warm, but it’s good for a quick refreshing dip, the whirlpool is the bottom part of the pool (not a separate hot tub). The sauna is open from 4:30pm. Breakfast was a continental style with local jam, meat, cheese, pastries and cakes etc and a hot drinks machine. Hotel is located right next to the Linga lift, so a few meters walk in the morning to catch the lift and ski to door in evening. Though not suitable for total beginners.
