Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe location, inside the Medieval walled city of Carcassonne. In the heart of the action but yet peaceful and tucked away. You could enjoy a bottle of wine in the evening on the terrace with stunning views and yet it felt as though you were alone and had the city to yourself. Furthermore, the communication with the owners was fantastic from start to finish and they accommodated the requests I had, which they didn’t have to.

The apartment is in a fabulous location, tucked down a little alley and through a secret door !! So quiet, so clean and beautifully designed. It has a huge decked terrace over looking the roof tops. Lovely to sit here and share a wine. The bed is large and very comfortable with good quality linen. The apartment was super clean and very peaceful. We highly recommend.

SpainParking is described in Property highlights as Free Parking, Private Parking. The parking is NOT private. It is in an open surface lot outside of the wall. We had no security problem with our car, but from "private" parking I had been expecting the car to be in a place with limited access by the public. More importantly, although the listing discloses that parking is some minutes walk (about 450meters), NOT disclosed until the final arrival instructions the day before arrival was that it is not possible to drive near the lodging - the car must park outside the wall, and all bags, suitcases, and anything else to bring in to the lodging - such as in my case a crate of cooking supplies (I prefer to mostly cook instead of being forced to eat out) you must carry, possibly in repeated trips, 450m each way from the car to the lodging (and, at the end, back). The impossibility to even briefly bring a private car in front of the lodging to efficiently unload was an unpleasant surprise, and should be clearly dislosed in the main Booking listing details. There is no light on the lockbox outside the lodging (on the street wall); accessing the lockbox at night can be a minor challenge. A light should be installed there. Similarly, although there is a motion-activated light between that street door and the apartment door, it turns off quickly; using the keys from the lockbox on the inner door to the lodging itself, in the dark was at times difficult. There, too, lighting should be made adecuate. We found several "odorizers" (oil scent dispensers) inside the apartment. There should never be any scent added to a lodging. We may simply not like it (I found the scents unpleasant), and there is always the risk of a guest being allergic. Only one small kitchen towel was provided; adequate towels must always be provided. A shower curtain would be helpful to avoid spraying water onto the bathroom floor.
The apartment is quite functional, and was very quiet at night (I wonder if, during high season, there might be some street noise, but in late February we slept very well). Heat, water, etc all worked well.
