So peaceful, we woke to the sound of birdsong Host was excellent (AI translate helped as my French is shocking) in all the pre trip communications with tips on where to park and what to do locally. And was absolutely charming when we checked in. I'm sure we will be back

Excellent location with unique architecture and quaint setting. The property was perfect and the host was very accommodating. It was a nice area of Le Mans for sightseeing with restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

This beautiful apartment is located in the heart of the old town. It has amazing views of the medieval town and fabulous gardens all around. The Cite Platagenet is a spectacular place: cobbled stone alleys/streets, half-timbered medieval houses surrounded by Roman walls. The apartment has two bedrooms in the third floor (deuxieme etage), comfortable beds, plenty of space. There is a full kitchen; dining room and living room are in the second floor (premier etage). Nice dining table, comfortable couch and chairs in the living room and a TV. The host is super nice, he came to meet us to give us the keys and tell us about the place and the town. The place is easily accessible by tram 1 or bus 14, it takes about 15 minutes from the gare SNCF. You are in the middle of the old town; the Cathedral Saint Julien Le Mans is 5 minutes away, 5 minutes to the museums and to the Enceinte Gallo-Romaine, all accessible by walking through the cobbled streets and fabulous gardens.

The electrically heated shower does take some time to heat up and a bit of fiddling to get to the right temperature, and don't expect lots of water pressure! But works fine once you get the hang of it. Also if you plan to make. your own meals, keep in mind there are no grocery stores right in the area. You might want to pick up food on your way there. Finally, a little more direction on using the tram system would be helpful. It's pretty simple once you get the idea, but the city site is not very user friendly. Of course, not a problem if you have a car!

The host met me at the train station, drove me to the apartment, and got me all settled in. Wonderful friendly service! The apartment is a beautiful old building right in the center of Le Mans medieval old city. Close to dozens of good restaurants, the Cathedral Saint Julien, and quaint little shops.

Only downside is the £10 per night parking in the multi storey car park, which is only a three minute walk to the property. This can't really be helped as it is a medieval city with narrow cobbled lanes, but just factor in.

Located right in the city centre, ideal for viewing this old city. Highly recommend this apartment for any short break.

The main bedroom is not a separate room but in the top landing area at the top of the stairs. The second bedroom does have a door for privacy.
