As the gondola only ran 09:00-16:30 in the summer this meant we had to eat at the hotel every evening. The dinner menu isn’t particularly extensive which meant repetitive food when staying a few nights, although the food we did have was of a good standard.

The location is great; the hotel is isolated up the mountain with amazing views over the valley below. It was lovely and quiet as the hotel doesn’t have many rooms, which meant the spa facilities weren’t busy either. Having a hot bath outside in the snow in summer was a great addition. The rooms were really comfortable and clean, with everything you could need. Staff were all helpful. The breakfast had plenty of choice. We will definitely return to this place!

Only tiny thing was that it would have been nice to have more flexibility around going up and down the mountain in the gondola but it stopped running at 4.30 which was a bit limiting. Luckily the hotel was so brilliant that it didn’t matter.

The lifts close around 5pm Sunday - Wednesday so you can’t go down into Val d’Isere for a drink or dinner on those nights but it’s no problem really as the hotel has everything and more!!

A comfortable stylish hotel with astonishing views and fabulous food. The spa is super clean with good size pool and all the spa delights you’d expect plus it’s really great to have a hot tub and sauna out side as well.

Very good but disappointed that the choice of jam was distinctly dull... and lacked imagination for a luxury hotel in the Alps. Strawberry and rasberry!! Why not local fruits and home made jams. Cheese was not that fresh ..

There were hardly any things to complain about. A superb hotel. I was rather surprised and disappointed that for a high end 5 star hotel costing me £1000 per night I couldn’t order a freshly cooked omelette for breakfast. I could only eat what was set out - and what was set out was very good.

So in order of importance I would say the best things were 1. The staff are incredible in that they genuinely seem to love their hotel and want you to have an amazing time, 2. The views from the highest hotel (or one of them) in Europe are always breathtaking 3. Being on the ski slope next to a major lift is incredible. 4. Food is good but the only restaurant is both high end and expensive and you have to eat there most nights. If they added a reasonably priced and hearty special dish each night would both add variety and value for money and 5 the guys in the boot room were superb and really helped to enhance the skiing part of the holiday. Which is of course the main reason for being there. 6. Best new year celebration ever. Civilised and lots of fun.

Check in was poor, was waiting in snow for half an hour and not transported to the door upon arrival once going up the lift. Lack of communication re check in time and also the need to buy a pass to go down if not using a ski pass that day. We mentioned this to the staff who apologised and we felt the issue was rectified. It did not damped what was an overall magic stay. We stayed for four days - if it was a week the dinner options would of gotten repetitive but was okay for the amount of time we were there. - it is also the same as the Gigi although they say this is only open two nights.

Location is amazing! Makes the stay so special. Wonderful setting to relax. Delicious snacks served at 4pm post skiing for everyone to have. Great board game selection to pass time post skiing! Great breakfast selection.

You’re a little isolated on the mountain. Lifts close at 4pm. So you need to eat at the resort and food was not great and at times poor.

Location, excellent room, awesome view. Great access to the piste.

Firstly, we were expecting the hotel to pick us up from the meeting point at 9 am however no one showed up. So we asked our previous hotel to contact them again to send us a porter for our luggage. We asked for ski passes however no one got them and we had to purchase ski passes downstairs in order to reach the hotel. Breakfast does not have many options. Moreover, you cannot order eggs a la carte. There is only an option to make your own boiled eggs! This is the first time I see this in a five star hotel. Moreover, there was only one waiter around who was very obnoxious and unhelpful at all! He had a very bad attitude. We asked for a later checkout but we were only given until 11 am! Finally, the hotel receptionist kept giving us excuses when we asked for a lift in their car from the hotel to the telephrique since we had some bags to take. Still they kept on giving us excuses as the “car” is for the luggage. Also note that I have seen guests descending from it the day before. Definitely not a 5 star level and not matching the value of price paid.r

Really disappointed! The hotel, the view and the facilities are all beyond amazing. But the service, management and staff is a big disappointment!
