How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing really. It had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
Location. It is on the road to Mont Saint Michel so very easy drive or bike ride

No complimentary coffee machine in room or lounge.
The hotel owner Frederick was really hospitable and went out of his way to make us welcome and to help with our onward travel arrangements. The hotel is ideally suited for those wanting to visit St Mont Michel as it’s only 10 mins away. The rooms were clean and tidy and the continental breakfast was fresh and more than adequate. There is a well stocked bar and conservatory in which to relax. The hotel also has plenty of off street parking

The hair dryer was a bit old and was making a bit of a worrying sound when switched to high power mode and required holding the button all the time. I also believe there is no A/C which was not a problem for us but could be in higher temperatures. In general the standard here is not super high but it was also never advertised as such - you just get exactly what you paid for. The owners tend to the hotel mostly themselves. Overall this feels a bit like a home with some small quirks / older elements to it (but on the other hand the feeling of being "homey" is actually a plus for me).
A great place for 1 night before visiting Mont-Saint-Michel. Easy to find and with easy parking. Check-in at 9 PM was not a problem, and I also believe there is a procedure for even later check in if the guest asks for it. Very hospitable and welcoming host explained everything to us in fluent English. We also received a free room upgrade. There is a small bar at the place so we could have a tea and a beer after the drive there. Breakfast was quite good.

Clean, basic room had everything we needed and the heating worked well. Very friendly and helpful owners. We arrived at 8.30pm and she rang round to find us a restaurant that would still be open by the time we got there. The breakfast selection looked really good but we chose not to as we wanted an early start. Checkout is at noon which made a lovely change and allowed for a relaxed start to the morning

The location of the hotel was excellent only being one and a half hours from Cherbourg. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We were given an upgrade on our room which was nice. No restaurant in the evening but a very good breakfast.

Good Location very close to Mt San Michel. Run by a nice friendly couple - all chat to our kids etc and had a welcome range of board games etc to occupy them. Excellent continental breakfast, spacious rooms. In other words just what we needed

I missed blinder on the windows.
