Parking was a little walk which as I had said I had a disabled person with me was a little inconvenient. But if asked for when booking a closer parking spot maybe possible. As there is one at the back of the hotel.

The room was quiet after the kitchen shut about 1030 but even before that it was not excessive. The bed was comfortable and the kettle and fridge were a nice addition. The room was big, although the ones with sea view are smaller. Lady on reception was very helpful speaking good English, the one on check out didn’t have as much English but she tried hard to help me with my French

The hotel accommodations were great, just not well suited for older folks who like their rest.

For a young couple, this would have been ideal. For a 70+ couple, it was wonderful during the day but extremely loud on Friday and Saturday nights. Sleeping was difficult.

Teenagers were shouting on the promenade until 1 am but that was not hotel's fault.

Smelt constantly of fish throughout and the cleanliness needs attention. The rooms always had something wrong… no toilet roll, ants, sand on the floor (I.e. no vacuum), dirty cups left from night before…. Easy to resolve but housekeeping needs attention.

I find this hard to answer as I want to be constructive and yet not disloyal to the super friendly and helpful staff. The reality was the hotel was tired and did not meet expectations and fell short of being value for money. A few points worthy of note: My room was at the end of the building (132) and the walk to room was partly in darkness. They have auto lights that require the guest to activate the light each time via a switch on the wall as they walk down the corridor. These light switches are backlit so you can see them. I learnt this quickly as part of the journey had to be in darkness as the first switch was not immediately accessible. Out side my room the bulb had gone (pic), making the key hard to fit in to the lock. The room itself was OK. The TV must be c.10+ years old and was c.3m to the left if the bed on the a sideboard/dressing table (pic). I had to move the TV so I could see it from the bed. It had no modern app/channels or modern access to Apps for watching English speaking channels. The air con was non-existent and circulated the warm air. The first night was too warm and I could not adjust the temp (pic). I sought help the next day and two members of staff couldn't resolve it either and I spent the second night too warm. I paid for air con... and didn't get it. There was one spare plug socket for charging anything. The others were occupied with lights and TV/Phone lines. The staff lent me a charger which I used in a bedside light socket. The bathroom was old and tired. The door was starting to rot at the bottom (pic) and there was a blackening of the bottom of the shower door (pic). The room was clean, but the housekeeping was poor. I didn't get any refills to my used bottles of complimentary shower gels, the old one was left for me the next day. The used towel was still there the next day (pic), albeit a new one had been delivered. Not a problem but indicative of the lack of attention detail. Overall, a shame.

The staff were super friendly and the location is the best.

Booking said there was parking but not that it was an extra 20 Euros a day. Spa was not open at times that worked for me.
