Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe rooms are really very small Parking is not directly at the hotel, but you have to walk about 3 minutes to the underground garage (you can unload your luggage at the hotel)

SwitzerlandThe entry fee for the Yonaguni-Spa is per Room (60€). Means, if you are travelling alone you still have to pay the 60€. In my opinion thats not fair and not customer-friendly. Its super nice if you are f.e. a couple and you only have to pay 30€ each. But no prive adjustments if you are alone - c‘mooon, serious?

AustraliaThe bathroom was very small and the room felt a little tired and in need of an update. Common area carpets needed a good clean. Access within hotel for those with disabilities would not be easy with many levels and steps. If in a wheelchair I imagine almost impossible.
The Yonaguni Spa /pools was Fantastic. The in-house pool/ spa also looked good but we did not use it. Would return to the hotel again only because it was so close to/ part of this great spa facility. Breakfast was Great.

United KingdomThe room was a little dated and the shower leaked but this was fixed the next day and we were given a bottle of Cremant on departure by way of an apology.
Nice room and a fantastic breakfast with a huge selection of delicious options. The new spa looked quite busy but we were delighted to have the residents-only Asiane spa all to ourselves! The bar is very nice and serves great cocktails.

GermanyNoting that really comes to mind.
The room was small but cozy, clean and equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast had the best French Toast I've had in a long time, the lunch buffet was very tasty (and healthy!). The Yonaguni SPA is really a next level experience, I was a bit sceptical at the start but it exceeded my expectations - very large, with so many things to explore. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience!

United KingdomI like everything but the hole in my wallet.
The food in the restaurant was amazing. But also expensive (39 euros for a scalop dish). The spa is one of the best in Europe. Decoration and ambiance was my favourite. Super comfy bed.

SwitzerlandYonaguni spa is definitely worth a visit, great experience. The spa area in the hotel itself is also a nice one, but we did not appreciate that it cannot be used after the check out or before the check in, so one needs to pay at Yonaguni, if interested to go to spa. Room was pretty small and it could have been cleaner (a lot of dust and stains on the wall). Still bed was very comfortable. Breakfast has been excellent. Very polite and kind staff.

Luxembourgthe overall prices, not justified for a 4-star hotel 250 € / night is exaggerated especially without the entrance to Yonaguni Spa, which in itself is spectacular but 60€ extra, come on…
the bar with a huge rum selection, the good smell and cosy atmosphere, fantastic breakfast, the in-house restaurant although quite costly offers fine quality dishes

SwitzerlandHotel room is sadly very small, the toilet is old and dirty. If i will booked this hotel again its because of the Yonaguni Spa. The Restaurant on the Monday evening was fully booked mostly the Restaurant nearby were closed on Monday was unfortunate that the hotel cant accommodate their guests even for takeout or sit somewhere else inside the hotel. There wasnt a lot of effort to accommodate their guests on this part in my opinion.
The location is great, free parking on the premises doesn’t need reservations. Breakfast is good with lots of option to choose from. Check in/out was fast and simple. 5 Star for the Bartender and the lounge! We really enjoyed our drinks and ambiance Im giving 5 Star to Yonaguni spa is such an amazing place to unwind, relax and recharge. The architecture is superb one of the best we had experience in Europe i love the modernity combined with nature! The Aquatic Maze/Labyrinth, water jets, variety of themed shower, spa/saunas and many more ways they think of how to truly relax and unwind. A truly unique sensory experience. We got to enjoy full day as a hotel guests with extra charge.

United StatesStaff was not skilled and seemed almost surprised and put out when asked to make reservations for us. In a hotel of this caliber, one would expect this service without an attitude. On one occasion, after explaining that I was struggling to reserve a wine tasting, I asked them to assist. This front desk person was so rude to me that I actually walked out. On a separate occasion I called the front desk and asked them to make a reservation at a restaurant because I don’t speak French. They said no problem and that the reservation was set. We went to the restaurant that evening to find it closed for vacation! We then couldn’t find a restaurant with an available opening for 2.5 hours! Our last terrible experience was at the fine dining restaurant. We had a tasting menu and sadly, in the middle of our dinner, my husband fell ill and had to leave. I finished my duck course and sat there for an incredibly long time (my husband’s plate untouched). Nobody ever checked on me, ever. Finally a busboy came to clear. I told him my husband was sick, I needed to go and get the bill. He said I need to talk to my waiter. My waiter who took care of us all night never returned, never showed any concern whatsoever, never offered to have my remaining 2 courses brought to my room or communicate to me in any way. The busboy just returned to my table, and dumped a check for the full dinner, without a word. I have been in the hospitality industry for decades and was appalled with much of the callous behavior. However, I did experience some lovely employees during my stay, as well, many who went out of their way.
Nice location, walkable to town, great facilities and food, beautiful spa.

BelgiumThe actual spa was not included in the price of the hotel, it's not clear at all on the website that it's not. All the pictures of booking are from the spa that is not included in the price. The staff was not nice at all, very disrespectful, not helpful, except the cleaning staff, very nice.
