How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

My cousin felt his bed wS uncomfortable. He has pain issues though. Mine was fine.

The road works outside the hotel made it hard to find. We got there in the end but would have been good to know that before we came.
Great stop over on the way to paris. The kids loved the theme, and the apartment was really comfortable.

Location was perfect for our trip. Boys loved the Nintendo design and console. Kitchen was handy to make a bite before starting out days.

Clean and comfortable accommodation with a really unique decorated theme. The kids absolutely loved it. Very confidently located with secure off street parking.

found it tricky to find parking at first - electric gates are permanently open and the car park looked a bit tired. Could do with some signage eg private parking for apartments xx. Super apartment, just a recommendation would be bedside table would be helpful in main bedroom to put water, phone etc Lamp in lounge, bedroom - only main lights are quite bright when you have had a long journey and want to chill and watch a film.

This place could easily go from average to good with few basic updates. New pillows as they were very old and lumpy. A bottle opener and wine opener. Plus a good clean on the walls and switches as they were a bit dirty.
Cute apartment with Nintendo finishings that the kids loved.

No Instructions on how to work the cooker hob, but this didn’t affect our stay.

Advertises netflix but didnt work - saw in previous comments this was the same although it is advertised. Internet was up and down. Road works outside the door - one day we couldnt get out of the property so that was one day lost on our holiday as everything locally was closed. Got woken up extremely early due to the road works it was so noisy - didnt have anything to do in evening due to netflix not working, internet not working properly and chess set which was there was missing pieces
Location, apartment decor and ease of access. The location was really good as we could go everywhere we wanted. Apartment decor was fun and nice. It was easy to get keys and get into property.

Location is poor. Comes up as Calais when searched and booked but is actually an hour's drive away. The property is in a shared tenamrnet block with zero outdoor lighting so was pitch black on arrival. Keys were left in a box outside with a code which is fair enough but we never met anyone associated with the property in the visit. The property itself is a first floor flat built on a 10 degree slope - as in the entire apartment floor is sloped. It is not particularly clean and there are loads of things in need of repair. For example the childrens bedroom window does not open as the blinds have snapped. There was also huge works going on outside which began at 6.30am waking everyone up - not the best having arrived at 1am.. The entrance roads were also closed. We should have been warned about this as it has clearly been going on for months. Other apartments in the block were were taken by transient workers who were all up and making a racket inside and outside early doors. All in all not worth the Nintendo sales pitch and certainly not suitable for families like ours with small children.
The Nintendo theme is in theory a good idea.

It was quite dirty, cutlery draw lots of dirt and the beds very tired. Pillows on the bed were really old and the stuffing had all separated. It wasn’t somewhere we wanted to stay unfortunately and we moved to another place.
It was a nice idea - Nintendo theme for the kids. Lovely host, instructions were clear

Only downside to the property was a personal thing, very limited power outlets in the bedrooms, I like to have one next to the bed so I can charge my phone overnight and use the alarm, but that’s personal preference so doesn’t lose any marks for it.
Loved the decorations, our kids loved exploring and seeing new Nintendo things, location was perfect too, nice and quiet area and easy to get to. Free parking round the back was great too
