Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandThere isn’t anything not to like….
A lovingly restored house right in the center of the medieval town. Spacious guest rooms with oversized en-suite bathrooms, all windows with amazing views. But what really makes the stay unforgettable are the hosts, Stacey and Matthew, super helpful in making restaurant recommendations and reservations (needed!!), and whipping up amazing a breakfast.

GermanyMaybe an additional piece of furniture but that would ruin the ambience of the room - so... actually nothing we did not like.
Stacey provided us every morning with a delicious breakfast in different locations of the place. Matt and her were always there and happy to answer our questions and provide helpful advice - and Blue for our safety. Location is great and very quiet. Breathtaking views from every window and the garden & pool. Can hardly ask for more.

Amazing property with beautiful grounds and incredible views from every room. Very spacious accommodations with beautiful furnishings. The personal service offered by our hosts Stacey and Matthieu was unsurpassed. They were wonderful hosts and gave us input on our itinerary for each day. Breakfast outside on the terrace was amazing in the morning. A quick dip in the pool in the evening was a delight. This is a uniquely special property and host couple.

United StatesA beautiful and peaceful place to stay! The house is charming, elegant and stunningly beautiful, the hosts are warm and welcoming, and the location is perfect for exploring the region. You'll wake up to having breakfast with incredible views overlooking the Rhone valley. There's so much to explore in this region from the history to biking in the vineyards to wandering through the colorful market. Jumping in the pool after a full day is most refreshing. They have many great restaurant recommendations that are nearby. The best hosts we've ever had at a B&B. A destination you'll want to return to again and again.

United StatesNothing. Everything was fantastic.
Staying here was magical. The room was superb with its smart decor and natural light. The room also had a private balcony with a beautiful view down to the town. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented in the dining room. The hosts were very congenial and provided helpful information on the area. Highly recommended.

United StatesI can't think of a single thing I didn't love.
Their breakfast was spectacular, more than we could eat and everything was of the highest quality. The couple who run this place are the most kind people who went out of their way to ensure we had the best stay possible from driving us personally up into the medieval city with our luggage to booking a restaurant for us to make sure we had a great place to eat dinner. Their home is spectacular, both the rooms and the furniture in the rooms. The view down into the lower city is amazing and this is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed now. We will be going back.

We spent six nights at Le Murier and had a great time; the house is beautiful, Laurence and Michel are perfect hosts, and the area is stunning. We did some excellent hiking in the area, visited the gorgeous hill-top towns and tasted some lovely wines and food.

United KingdomThere is nothing not to like. Everything is exceptional.
The accommodation at Le Murier is superb. Huge bedroom with a massive and very comfortable bed, and big, airy bathroom in an old stone build 18th century house in the old town. Everything is of the highest standard. The decor is a mix of old and new which works really well. The stone floored room is superbly equipped (fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer) and there were free food/drink treats in the fridge for us too. There is a fantastic sunny balcony to sit on and watch the sunset over the town. The hosts, Laurance and Michel , are so welcoming. You can’t take cars in the old town and Michel picked us up with our bags from our parking nearby. Breakfast on the patio was delicious and more than we could eat - bread and pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cheese and meats, served with fresh coffee. We enjoyed chatting to the hosts each morning and they recommended things for us to do abs see in the area. Nothing was too much for them. Le Murier is by far the best accommodation we have had in many years of travelling.
