Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing - it was a fantastic stay, including a magnificent breakfast.
This is a family owned and managed hotel. They went well out of their way to make us feel most welcome and meet our needs as a cycling group. This was easily our favourite stay and the rooms and pool were wonderful.

It was lovely, the owner and her family were really polite, helpful and very caring. They also spoke excellent English which is always good as our French just about gets us by.

CanadaLocation was beautiful and peaceful. Conveniently close to Forcalquier. Kevin and his parents very extremely nice hosts and his mother's homemade jam was spectacular with the local goat cheeses. Highly recommend for solo travellers, couples, or families. Wish i stayed another night to use the indoor pool =)

RomaniaNothing to complain of.
The hotel is very nice, with attention to detail, and the garden is well-maintained and very spacious. The owners are very nice people and careful with the guests. The pool is very clean with a nice bar fully equipped, nearby. We really enjoyed our stay here. Tip for other guests: Close to the hotel is a store with diverse manufactured local products in the area, from pottery to honey, wine, jewelry, and more.

United KingdomMy friend and I had a wonderful welcome at this family run hotel. The rooms are all beautifully furnished, with really comfortable beds and everything you could need. Breakfast was delicious, and the pool area is well laid out. We arrived mid-afternoon on a Sunday, too late for lunch and too early for dinner, and were treated to a plate of canapes with a perfectly chilled bottle of rose by the pool. The hotel is ideally placed for exploring the area, which is beautiful. Absolutely nothing to fault.

GermanyVery friendly people run the hotel. The location is in walking distance of the famous Salagon Abbaye. A wonderful bridge (early medieval) is just behind the hotel. Enough parking space. The breakfast was super with home made jam, pâté from a local butcher and local cheese- amazing! Room was comfortable and a kettle to prepare the first morning drink in the room. Did not use the pool but it was still open and heated!

United Kingdomlittle things - the light over bathroom sink out; no ventilation in bathroom so mirror fogged. db bed positioned in corner made it awkward - with a smaller wardrobe could be re arranged? but didn’t spoil enjoyment
the type and style of accommodation the setting next to river and bridge, and the grounds set it apart. The pool was perfect , the interior decor was very rural French - as was the breakfast

United KingdomThe grounds were superb. we had our dog with us and it was so easy for us to take her for a quick walk whenever needed and she enjoyed a dip in the river by the Pont du Roman! Having a dog was no problem to the owners which we much appreciated. Everywhere was clean, especially around the well kept swimming pool - very welcome on a hot day. There was a lot of choice at breakfast and lovely to sit on the terrace either then or for a drink after returning from the day’s sightseeing Best of all, the owners were great. very friendly, spoke English well and kindly booked a couple of good local restaurants for us. we would definitely return as there is much more to see in the area than we managed to do in our Theo days there

RomaniaRooms quite small and had a weird moldy smell, not entirely clean, with missing curtains. The hotel did not have a restaurant or refrigerator in the room, which made the entire trip a bit difficult from lunch/dinner perspective as we were always dependent on the car. The hotel’s policy is not allowing to bring anything to the location (food or any type of drink), we were not aware of it hence we were sent to eat the pizza ordered outside the venue, in the small pavilion behind the hotel.
Beautiful surroundings, nice pool and spacious living room where we could play board games and have a glass of wine. Excellent breakfast. The hosts were mostly welcoming and Christian has offered a lot of good advices in terms of place to visit. Location is great for lazy days and to relax by the pool or explore the immediate places.

RomaniaOld building with old smell. Bathrooms with very narrow cabin showers. Poor cleanliness, spiders in all corners of the rooms. Old, wrinkled towels. Old and very rigid owners, superior attitude, constantly present which often creates discomfort - feeling of surveillance. It is not allowed to bring food from outside (e.g. pizza) and eat on the room terrace, even though the location does not have a restaurant and there is no restaurant available within walking distance.
Beautiful landscape and surroundings. The breakfast was good. The pool was clean.

RomaniaThe son of the lady was not nice. The rooms were not so clean, a lot of spiders and we had one scorpion. For me the bed was not comfortable. We paid 340 euro / night with breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids, one of the most expensive accommodation I ever paid and the condition were average . Not value for the money.
The lady was nice . The location was great
