It’s not negative, but the place is a bit dated-they told us they brought the place so I believe they got it like this/it has a charm, but if you are not about vintage, maybe you find it a bit much.

The couple who own the place are kind and attentive, they do everything themselves, and you can feel that. The breakfast is created until the last detail you can find gluten free option , vegetated milk. (you have so much choice between the salt and the savoury-everything is fresh made very impressive!)

The bedroom was very dark - a large fig tree blocked a lot of light from our bedroom window and needs pruning.

No kettle in the room. We are early risers and it would have been nice to have had a coffee before breakfast. Also, we returned shortly after 9 one night for a drink in the bar, but it was all locked up already.

From seeing it on here, to being there for real! It has so much character and it truly was like we were staying in a manor - living it up. The owners were so helpful and friendly and our room had wonderful air conditioning, a super shower and a mega comfy 4 poster bed! Having breakfast outside, in the tranquil courtyard, was the ideal French experience. I felt like a princess in an enchanted Manor. Also, we had free parking right on the doorstep, and the Pond D'Arcy was only a 5 minute drive away, or a walk if feeling energetic. What a fantastic location✨️ 💛

Good communication with the receptionist/owner. We were leaving early the following morning before breakfast (which was included in the price) and he provided us with a thermos of coffee and some breakfast items in our room so we could have a breakfast before we left. The room was lovely and comfortable with a good shower in the bathroom. They were able to accommodate our bicycles in a secure room overnight.

This is is a lovely hotel set in a beautiful historic building and it was spotlessly clean throughout. Our room was very nicely furnished with period furniture and very comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast which included a variety of foods produced locally. Car parking is in the street just outside the hotel, there was plenty of room and the area felt very safe. The hotel is a 5 minute stroll from the centre of the village where there are numerous restaurants bars and shops. Situated near the head of the Ardeche Gorge the hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the surrounding countryside. We are pleased to recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the area or travelling through it.

I liked the location, which is at the centre of Vallon-Pont d'Arc, but away from the streets full of tourists. The garden was very nice and relaxing, too. I was especially thankful to be able to store my bike in a locked garage for the night. Thank you!

There was not a comfortable chair in the bedroom to relax in and the lighting was not good for reading. I appreciate that in a charming hotel like this each room is furnished differently, perhaps other rooms were different.

We received a warm welcome and the room was deliciously cool in the heatwave . It was a short walk into the village. The beds were comfortable and the water hot . Breakfast in the garden was a delightful way to start the day. A good choice of fresh food and all served with a smile .

Everything was great

We loved this place. It is a very short walk to the center of town, but once inside the gate, it feels like you are miles away from everything. It is so calm and peaceful and lovely. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and our room made me feel like I was in a château.
