Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe rooms are compact even though they are very stylish, clean and offer plenty of storage. The only thing I was missing was a mirror in front of the dressing table as our mirror was only directly by the sink. But this is very much a personal preference and might be just our specific room.
The location is perfect for ski in and ski out. Our son is only 5 and spent most of his time on bunny slopes but was able to ski down himself. You can also walk to the village or use a free lift when open (or ask for a drop off/pick up by a snowmobile when lifts are closed). They also help with your luggage and ski equipment - there is an additional discount if using a specific ski shop and they are very accommodating there as well. The hotel staff is super attentive and goes out of their way to help. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, you got everything you needed and all ingredients were of great quality. The jacuzzi was also a great feature even though it was a touch too hot for us and our son enjoyed the board games/toys in the restaurant/bar area.

Stylish property with rooms of a very good size and a bar restaurant that are of the highest standards! We stayed in ski season so the heated boot room and ski storage for this ski in/out property were fantastic. The spa and sauna was a treat after a long day on the slope! Highly recommend!

United KingdomThe shower in the bedroom is very quirky, maybe not an issue for couples but not ideal for others. The addition of a privacy film on the glass would be a significant improvement. As with every hotel in the alps, there is a lack of hangers in the wardrobe.
The Lapiaz Hotel is very well presented, clean, tidy and has great facilities. The spa and hot tub are perfect for relaxing after a day on the pistes. The rooms are comfortable and stylish. Breakfast is good, with a small selection of cereals, pastries, yoghurt, fruit and eggs on offer. I would highly recommend eating in the restaurant in the evening, whilst the menu is limited, the food cooked is excellent. This is a true ski in / ski out hotel, with a short red piste as you leave in the morning. Going into Flaine Forum is manageable and you have a choice of two routes; 1. the adventurous can careful walk down the edge of the red piste, and cross over into the back of the Forum, 2. you can head up towards Le Bissac and walk towards Flaine Foret past the magic carpet adjacent to the leaner slope. Towards the farthest end of the Forum there is a lift between Flaine Forum and Flaine Foret. The 2nd route is the easiest way back to the hotel at night.

Czech RepublicThere is no space in the SPA for calm rest after the sauna. There is no private space to have a shower after the sauna. People sitting in the jacuzzi and those living in room nr.9 (I think) when going out of the room have a nice view of your nude body during showering. The jacuzzi was woody and did not look nice inside as the wood was looking like covered with mold. This is probably due to the incompatibility of wood with highly chlorinated hot water.
Breakfast was nice; I would expect that when the hotel is full, the variety will be higher. The room was spacious. The sauna was nice and clean. The location is perfect as a starting point for the trip to the mountains.

United KingdomDifficult to get and from the hotel between 830am and 5.30pm when the snow cat was not allowed to operate. Therefore It meant walking on snow for about 150m, across red or green ski pistes. So, difficult for non skiers to access the hotel, but the staff helped as much as possible
Very good breakfast with good variety and timing. Wonderful views of the mountains Spacious sauna and cedar spa bath, big enough for 6 people. Small scale and good family atmosphere. The staff were extremely helpful and took trouble to meet our needs. They picked us up in the snow cat with our luggage. The whole hotel was thoughtfully designed with high quality materials. Secure external ski store and boot store where Proski delivered hired equipment.

United KingdomThe hotel is not luxury but perfectly comfortable, room not large - shower was in the corner of the room so one had to hide in the toilet or go to the bar / hot tub to allow the other to shower! Not a big deal. Got woken up in the night time by snow ploughs clearing the slopes, a symptom of staying literally on the slopes, so you might want ear plugs if you are a light sleeper like me. If you want to go out in Flaine, it is a trek over the snow, though I am sure you could prearrange a lift. That said, Flaine is relatively quiet and not a big apres ski place. As there on family trip, not a big deal. Hotel fairly quiet apart from a big party Saturday night, though this stopped at midnight. The access for bags etc. only being outside of ski hours requires planning for when you arrive / leave and a bit of fitness to access or go out, though it is best suited for those at Flaine to mainly ski, so not a big issue for us. Ended up getting a taxi from Geneva to Flaine at EUR450 return through hotel contact, as was too late to book the bus - this actually was really easy especially compared to the bus to Val D’Isere the year before (1.25 hours compared to 7 hours! Though one was during week and the other peak weekend). With more advance planning could secure the bus - Flaine is easier to reach than other resorts, higher for better snow and Geneva has a good variety of flights from the UK.
The location is amazing, literally on the slopes so genuine ski in / ski out. It is on a small red run (not that hard) so you need to be able to cope with that and only accessible by snow mobile when the slopes are shut (roughly before 830am and after 530pm). Great service in that we hired ski gear at a discount from their linked hire place ProSki in the lower Flaine Forum, we were there in the afternoon so could leave bags there and the ski gear which were delivered to the hotel. Same service when leaving, able to just leave ski gear in the hotel, really helpful! Hence our timing of arriving in the afternoon to sort out ski gear and explore set up before skiing following day worked well, as well as leaving in the morning after breakfast. Able to use hot tub / sauna after skiing and good food in the restaurant, though we mainly ate on the slopes during the day. Choice of twin beds good as there with daughter. Perfect hotel if your focus is mainly skiing, I was there with teenage daughter so worked really well. Staff were really friendly, relaxed and accommodating while not being ‘in your face’ so the best combination for me, atmosphere pretty laid back. Food is good, breakfast continental and same each day but was a good enough selection for us. Nice relaxed bar area with stocked bar, half board we utilised once and had a classic Alps cheese fest! Resort is mainly family friendly which worked for me and you are able to ski across the Grand Massif, though we found Flaine had plenty for a 5 day trip and had the snow due to altitude - an increasingly important point these days as Les Carroz lower down had none despite it being February! You can of course ski to the hotel and have a break there during the day and relax, given it is on one of the runs.

United KingdomWe booked the restaurant for the first evening meal and the following lunch. The evening meal had a limit menu and was expensive so we were a little disappointed with the quality of the food and the polenta chips were not edible (do avoid if possible). The lunch menu was far more extensive but unfortunately despite having a late sitting at 2pm the service was so slow and our food after a hour of waiting came out cold. Very disappointing but the staff were nice and it was an extremely busy day. We decided after two unsuccessful meals to eat else where for the rest of our stay.
The hotel was great, it had a large spacious living area and huge dining area with great views. The rooms were small but well appointed and had everything you needed for a ski trip. The location of the hotel was on a ski run so access during the day on foot was a walk up or down the slope so may not be suitable for everyone but great as a ski in ski out location. After the pistes had closed the hotel had a snow vehicle that could ferry you up to Flaine Foret. The sauna and hot tub were great. The staff and manager were very friendly and accommodating. The ski shop recommended by the hotel was great - very efficient and I had the best skis I have ever hired. We walked down the red run to get to the shop in the morning - I would not recommended this unless you have a sledge. Better to walk up to Flaine foret and the get the funicular lift down to Flaine Forum.
