We arrived late evening (in the dark and rain!) and could not find the lock box – our property information / guidance was that it was to the left of the door. Initially we could not find the lock box, to the left of the door, and we tried to contact the hosts / property by phone (leaving a message and sending then a text on the number given), but we were unable to contact them. The lock box is actually 4-5 metres to the left of the door, which is attached to the outside window security bars. This can be easily missed in the dark – although we eventually found it (after about 30 minutes), we all felt that the guidance for the lock box was not clear enough.

The location is great. A good choice of local shops for food, with a very good fresh food hall close by, where you can buy meat / fish / fruit / vegetables / local produce etc. which is open in the morning. There are plenty of bars / places to eat out, and it is an easy walk to visit the medieval city of Carcassonne.

Can't fault the apartment or host.

Great apartment only minutes away from Place Carnot (main square). Erik helped us from the moment we landed. He met us at the apartment to hand over keys and show us around. Gave lots of local info incl restaurant suggestions and easiest way to get to citadel. Apartment was spotless, well-equipped and very spacious. Lovely to sit outside to have breakfast, we even had the church organ playing one morning! Nothing seemed too much trouble for Erik - great guy!

A very clean, spacious and well equipped apartment with all the facilities we needed for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The lovely private garden was an added bonus. Very central location for exploring all Carcassonne has to offer. The owners were very helpful and easy to contact if required.

The decor of the property is attractive and atmospheric. The garden area and being on the ground floor is an advantage. Everything we needed was provided. Communication with the owner (very amenable) was easy.

This is a delightful apartment very close to the centre of the old town and within walking distance of the castle and medieval city. It is located entirely on the ground floor and enjoys a private courtyard with direct views of the Cathedral St Michel. The apartment is comfortable, very well appointed, reasonably light (despite its ground floor location) and feels secure. Parking is readily available nearby for a small fee and can be very easily managed via a phone app if you choose it. As hosts, Jeanette and Eric are wonderful - extremely flexible and happy to assist with anything should you need it. It was lovely to have a friendly face meet you at the door with the keys and a quick run-down. Definitely recommended!

Location was superb. Small courtyard garden great place to sit and have breakfast bought from a lovely bakery on the corner 50 yards away. Parking nearby was plentiful and very reasonably priced.

We stayed there for four nights and had plenty of issues, starting with an open backdoor at our arrival. The manager seemed to think this is not a problem and it took us time to convince her to send someone to solve the problem of an unsecured flat, a bad start for our stay. The apartment is not airconditioned, we asked for ventilators, we never got even one, although we were there during a very hot period with temperatures around 40°C. Although the apartment is attractive, it is badly maintained, with some unpleasant features: - the low quality toilet seat is too small for the toilet and therefore moves and is extremely uncomfortable. - the door of the shower cabin doesn't close, i.e. one floods the bathroom and has less space within the cabin - the terrace was not cleaned and the plants there are dead, not very inviting Yet, the worst was a defunct standing lamp - our son got a heavy electric shock when touching it, the electricity went off in the apartment and we had to call the ambulance, We informed the manager about the accident and requested the lamp to be removed. Her reaction was a quite casual WhatsApp message 'oh dear, hope all is fine nevertheless?' which we found highly inadequate in the situation. Though we did like the apartment and the location, we would not return because of the lack of good maintenance and professional service.

A stylishly renovated apartment in a central street of Carcassonne. We appreciated the design and the furnishing, the excellently equipped kitchen and the central location. The bedrooms face the garden/innercourt, therefore it is quiet during the night. The rooms are spacious and the photos correspond to what we found.
