Apart from the reception area and dining room, the hotel could do with a refresh. The two rooms we stayed in were a bit tired and some of the lights didn’t work. The first bedroom we had was very small and quite dark. There are no lifts and very narrow stairways so it’s not the place to take big suitcases!

Fantastic central location and close to one of the town’s main car parks. The hotel itself is one of the town’s original buildings and had character. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We were frustrated regarding the difficulties to use European websites to book the bus tickets to Geneva airport. The reception lady was very nice to help but another lady seems as manager were impatient. She said this is not their job and recommended over hundreds Euro taxi. Although this is not the hotel direct responsibility, however the negative impression to the hotel customers impacts the overall review. We eventually found Mountain Drop-off service on our own.

Great breakfast- plenty of protein choices (yogurt, cheese, boiled egg), nice croissant, tasty coffee. Helpful, kind staff

Room was small so hard to unpack. Watch out on luggage as no lifts and we were on 2nd floor, tight stairs and had been travelling for 7 weeks so had some gear. Also ask for a room at the front of the hotel - the rear has a yard and there were deliveries early morning and fork lift truck noise from 6am.....

Location was great, walk to everything, and breakfast was nice and reasonably priced for a hotel. Use of the spa was also good.

It was very hot and we had to leave the windows open; we have been waking up by trash truck every morning at 4 Am and one hour later by delivery trucks for the supermarket next door. Rooms are small and bed not the best

They require the credit card for deposit, with the info of card number and valid date, which I do not feel safe. The alternative can be 100 Euro cash, they should better inform the guest in advance.

Second floor room with no lift was rough after the hike!

We stayed here twice - before and after completing the Tour du Mont Blanc. Staff were friendly and helpful and stored our bag for 15 Euro between stays. Our rooms had nice sky lights with mountain views. There was free cake in the kitchen area.

In a twin room the beds are really narrow, I almost fell out when I turned over!

Le Faucigny hotel is right in the centre of Chamonix, ideal location if you want to be at the centre of the action. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and perfect for our 2-night stay. If you're travelling by car, book your parking spot with the hotel in advance or else the closest parking costs about €25/day.

The stairs from reception to the first floor were quite difficult when carrying a suitcase, despite the help from the young lady. WiFi was a bit patchy in my room.

No lift and narrow staircase if you have luggage. However the staff offered to carry luggage to our room. Very small shower which could be a problem for some. Breakfast adequate but not exceptional

Steep and narrow steps going up to our 2nd floor room. Parking was right outside the lobby of the hotel, next to the church, which was a plus, but directions to get to it was very confusing. You pay for parking @ $17 US per night.

The location is fabulous! The room was a decent size and the shower was nice. In the room is a small coffee maker and places to hang clothing plus a desk area. The skylight up above our bed was directly facing Monte Blanc, so it was like looking at a picture during daylight hours. Beautiful to wake up to! Plus watching the hang gliders was great!!

A little bit disappointed for a hotel that host tourists from all over the world but have no an English TV channel. Whymper's sauna is great, but Le Faucigny 's spa water is cold : (

Actually, I was arranged to stay at the adjacent new sister-hotel Le Chalet Whymper due to management reasons , they arranged a room with Mont Blanc Viewfor me, which is fantastic and very spectacular! Just this alone is worth it. Next door is a huge living room, which makes up for the narrowness of our room.

10/10 for location , perfect for restaurants, shops & on the skiing bus route for pick ups . Room was a little small but would take it over the location and views!
