Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe love it, and would change nothing, but it would not suit travellers who want modernity! The bar/restaurant area closed early once dinner service stopped, so there was nowhere to sit in the evening apart from our bedroom.
Wonderful old fashioned hotel more or less run two-handed its extremely helpful owner and a chef. Small but comfortable bedroom with a big high quality bed. Excellent mountain home cooking - fondue, tartiflette, etc - and traditional French breakfast of croissant, baguettes, yoghurt, fruit, cooked eggs. This is France as it used to be, and wonderful. It is perfectly positioned for ski lifts in a small unspoiled village in the vast Tignes ski area. It is also very good value for money (especially the restaurant).

United KingdomNeed better Pillows.
It unfortunate that there are lots of new places nearer to the slopes as lots of people prefer this. The hotel is dated and Particularly French. The owner is a lovely guy and his Chef deserves more. If you are looking for a Traditional French Hotel Just off the Piste, helpful owner who speaks good English this is the place. Clean room, plenty of Hot water, warm with a massive radiator to dry Ski Clothes. I was on my own but with a Group this would be a great Hotel to stay.

United KingdomIt can be tricky to get a taxi or bus to the other towns of Tignes, unless you book several days in advance. This is not the fault of the hotel, but can be a drawback to the location.
Very close to the slopes for nearly perfect ski in and ski out, and an easy walk to the bars in Tignes 1800. The proprietor is fantastic - very helpful and friendly, the hotel is simple but comfortable and charming, and the breakfast is very nice.

United KingdomNothing.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Eccentric chef/barman! The lady was lovely and offered to dry our biking gear which was soaked when I got there. Delicious dinner and the breakfast was exceptional and really set me up for the day. The beer was good and the bed was super comfy. Great experience!

United KingdomIt is not "flashy" and minimal facilities (barely even a bar), the food is tasty but limited choice. This is fine: it is a simple, pleasant, family hotel - if you are there for skiing, not partying then it is ideal. Les Boisses is quiet and a bit isolated: so you are essentially eating in the hoel avd staying there in PM. Nothing much near by; you can walk about 200m into Tignes 1800 where there are a couple of bar/restaurants - but if you want lots of apres then you will be relying on the shuttle bus - or realistically this is not a good place.
This is the second time I have stayed at Le Dome and I will stay again. Simple, clean pleasant and very good value. It is about 20m from the slopes: not exactly "ski in ski out" but absolutely close enough. It is on the navette (shuttle bus) route, so connecting to Tignes main resort is easy enough. Mot of the guests were "we are here for skiing" Outstanding collection of board games!!

United KingdomThere's a slight smell of drains in the bathroom, but addressed by keeping it ventilated. A small gripe, given the value for money of Le Dome compared to other hotels in the area, and the effort made by the hosts to make guests welcome. SkiSet ski hire shop in Tignes 1800 closes in the middle day creating loads of anxiety for us when were returning our skis and needing to head off for the airpport on our final day.
This is about the only 2 star hotel in the entire resort, unpretentious, and represents great value for money for a short stay. Friendly and helpful proprietor, offered somewhere for us to change so we could go skiing before checking in and after checking out of our room, good location for access to the slopes, .

United KingdomNothing - it was such a lovely place. I did have a small issue with the shower - it was more a case of it leaving the shower area, more my guilt, but a better way of containing it may help the place.
Firstly a lovely welcome - the staff were genuinely lovely - I arrived on my motorbike and they made sure that it was put in a place that was no only convenient for me, but also allowed them to keep an eye on it (although there were no concerns about the area as it is lovely)

United KingdomTignes les Boisses is a small hamlet. Although it is very easy to connect to the other parts of the resort by both ski and via the free bus, it is much less easy to get around all of Tignes in the evening (unless you have your own car) as the bus service drops off after about 7.30pm. It wasn't a problem for us as the hotel had cosy bar and restaurant plus we were a family but it might not suit everyone.
The hotel staff (Christian and Jean Jacques) were extremely friendly and welcoming. They helped us arrange lift passes as well as ski hire plus hints about how to navigate the resort. Breakfast was Euro 12 per person. It was excellent with a choice of cereal, yoghurt, pastries, baguette, ham, cheese and whatever eggs you fancied including omelette. It really sets you up for a day's skiing. The hotel is small. The rooms are not huge but are clean and the beds were comfy. Location for access to the pistes was very good. You can get to a slope (green/blue) via a 5 minute walk from the front door. You then ski down about 150 yards to a gondola which takes you up into Tignes main ski area. Very easy. If you've never ski'd at all, this might not be suitable but you can instead take the free bus (stop is 100 yards) from the hotel into Tignes. They run every 15 minutes. Evening meal was very good value and food tasty. The menu is small but they were happy to rustle up a few extra dishes for us when asked. Drink prices were similarly better than most other places in Tignes.
