Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaTV and Wifi did not work. Bed was a little slanted so my husband did not sleep well (he felt like he might have slid out). The room we had was an attic room so I accidentally hit my head on the ceiling a few times - so if you are tall, I suggest you let the owner know not to allocate this room to you. Lights were also very dim (only at bedside and kitchen sink) so we struggled to read/write in main sitting area. If you have mobility challenges, this place might not be for you as there are plenty of steps to get to the apartment and from there to the car park - suggest you pack light - luckily, we did for this 1 night stay so it was not a drama for us.
Location was right next to the Conque Abbey but for that convenience, we had to park a little distance away. Appreciated the various snacks owner had left on the table for us.

United StatesOur only problem was the location of the building on the highest ground in the town with steep hills everywhere. My wife has some mobility problems and it was almost impossible for her to walk down to the center of the town or to climb back up. Walking was tough because all of the back streets in the town are made of very rough stone and there are lots of stairs.
We absolutely loved the town of Conques and its spectacular church. Our room was attractive and comfortable. Earplugs were provided but we didn't use them because it was perfectly quiet. The bathroom was very large and it was great to have a little kitchen. Everything was well kept.

CanadaGround floor apartment with significant number of pill bugs crawling around and vinyl plank flooring continuously damp/sweating. Not likely a concern with a second floor flat.
Within Walking distance to village centre. Nice amenities within the unit with lovely welcoming tray.

HungaryA bit complex to approach the hotel by car and then turn back on the street to go to a parking. Our appartment was next to the main entrance so it was somewhat loud when people came/left.
Great equipment of the appartment, anything you could need is provided, flexible and kind host, well located in the village, easy to walk to the main square.

United StatesThe only real issue is that the entrance door is not clearly labeled as you walk up the steps—we did not see it until we got to the top and came back down (the door faces up the steps). There is a white oval sign with nothing on it that should have the hotel name in it. iParking was not available where it is shown on the website (metal bars blocked the spaces), but we could park just outside on the side of the road (but fyi only room for about 5 cars in total).
For a 2-star hotel, it was spectacular. All the basics-place to hang clothes, little fridge and microwave, coffee facilities, towels, soap, shampoo, pretty view out to roofs and mountains, nicely decorated. Large enough for 2. Easy access because is at edge of village—excellent driving instructions provided by hotel.

United StatesAs an older house with wooden floors, the apartment does allow some noise from guests in the two adjacent units to be audible. While this didn’t disrupt our stay, it’s worth noting for those sensitive to sounds.
Nestled in a traditional house along a charming, narrow alley, this apartment transports you back in time with its historical character, evident the moment you climb the stairs. Though compact, it’s thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials, including a small kitchen and table perfect for light breakfasts or dinners. The host’s warm touch—providing coffee, tea, and a delightful assortment of cookies—was a memorable highlight, offering a cozy welcome after a long day of hiking. This was a unique and heartwarming gesture that stood out. Overall, the apartment delivers exceptional value, making it a cherished part of our Camino hike experience.

SpainFor a family it's not practic. The table is not to have dinner but it's ok to have a coffee. The stairs are so straight.
The place is an ancient House and the owners keep the room extra clean and cute. It's a favolous place for couples. The beds are very comfortable.

FranceWe did not know how difficult it would be too park. A real hassle finding the place and then parking. Then we found out that the entire village was closed. No restaurants for dinner or breakfast. Absolutely nothing open. We still loved the accommodation and would go again...But we need to know there is something open!!!!
The town is amazing. The accommodation was great. Toaster, heaps of madelins, coffee, tea, extra. Just wonderful.

FranceLe Compostelle de Conques is a medieval building that has recently been carefully restored and furnished to provide three small, but very cosy, apartments with all the facilities one needs for a short stay. The character and atmosphere is a mix between a mountain hut and an old sailing yacht's cabin. The room had a wonderful view overlooking the mist lined valley and the roof tops of Conques. An added bonus is that one can also park directly outside.

SpainClean and cosy although the apartment we had wouldn't be very good for tall people due to the low ceilings and stairway.
It was good that the owner gave us accurate instructions to find the place because it is a bit hidden and in a restricted access village. Parking close to the property is difficult but plenty at the town entrance. The apartment it's small although it has everything advertised

FranceParking was a bit tricky as the village is closed off and the small road/square near the room is apparently not supposed to be for visitors. We left our car there overnight anyway and had no issues.
