Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Really, everything. This beautiful house right in the centre of Avignon is tucked away behind high walls and a pretty garden. It is a peaceful haven. Owners Benoit and Jack extend a warm and friendly welcome and it was a pleasure to stay with them. AustraliaNothing to dislike. This is a beautiful property very close to the historical sights of the old town.
The B&B is inside the old city walls and has a lovely historical charm about it. The rooms were spacious and well decorated and the continental breakfast was delicious. Benoit and Jacques were wonderful hosts, and went out of their way to please us. Benoit arranged our taxi from the TGV station which was much appreciated.

It's a challenge to write too much as the simple answer is its perfect. Our hosts were superb, nothing was too much to ask and they sorted our transport to and from the station without us asking. They made recommendations for places to eat and things to see. The building is immaculate, secluded in the centre of Avignon with a stunning garden to have breakfast and relax in the evening. The breakfast spread was lovely with a daily homemade cake and jams to try as well as a selection of breads, meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt and pastries. We simply couldn't have asked for anything more.

New ZealandClos Saluces was an oasis in the centre of Avignon - it was very well appointed throughout with beautiful antiques and was close to all amenities. Benoit and Jacques were excellent hosts who couldn't of been more helpful with local information. The breakfasts were just a delight with most products being homemade. And the garden was truly tranquil. We loved our stay.

Large room with natural light and comfy bed; gorgeous spacious bathroom stocked with lovely products. Exceptional taste in decor. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful, with numerous quiet places to sit and relax amongst the lavender and geraniums. Breakfast is generous and fresh. Benoit also makes homemade bread each day….similar to poundcake, which is delicious and a nice touch . We were able to stay in the garden after check out until our taxi arrived….we appreciated this! It’s easy to walk to everything in town and wonderful to have this quiet oasis to return to. Benoit and Jacques are perfect hosts, friendly and helpful yet respectful of privacy. A perfect stay!

United StatesPeaceful, quiet space walking distance to markets, shops, the Palais Des Papes, museums and more. But the best part was how friendly and helpful both Jacques and Benoit are! They’ll guide your stay—from giving you ideas of the best places to see, where to avoid, helpful suggestions of restaurants and even making reservations for you. And Benoit’s cakes are a great way to start your morning. Can’t say enough about how welcomed we felt and what good care they took of us.

Le Clos Saluces was one of the best places we have ever stayed, if not the best. The house is immaculate with amazing attention to detail. The before and after renovation pictures show what an unbelievable job Jacques and Benoit, who were such kind and thoughtful hosts, have done. The location is perfect right in the centre of Old Avignon and a 10 minute taxi ride from Avignon TGV.
