Disappointed by lack of welcome or attention on arrival. Some reception staff evidently better skilled and trained in customer service than others - one even appeared reluctant to assist at times. Rooms did not have a kettle. English breakfast tea unavailable until requested on day 2. Island Taxi service expensive and limited to 3 main providers. Tip - need to arrange bookings well in advance if require transfers to Le Palais port.

Beautiful quiet, elevated location ideal for coastal walks & 5-10 minutes from Sauzon port & village. Fabulous breakfast buffet included selection of locale and homemade produce. Wide selection of fresh fruits, farm yoghurts, homemade cakes & pastries as well as freshly made breakfast crepes and delicious scrambled egg and apple compote dishes. Continental selection also available. Sunday evening vegetarian buffet surprisingly different and superb. Restaurant staff attentive. Booked twin room with terrace and seaview very modern and clean, rainforest shower with all toiletries and towels provided (including one for pool use) very comfortable beds. Lovely hotel lounge overlooking Sauzon port and bay which opens out to terraced area with pool, very popular hot tub and sauna. Coastal path to Pointe du Poulains alongside hotel - ideally located for walkers.

For the price we paid the view from the room was not good (back of the hotel), and the rooms were a little small (as compared to the visuals on the website).

The location in Sauzon is nice, the pool and jacuzzi have an amazing viewpoint. The room was comfortable.

No elevator, long corridors and no help to carry your luggage. The size of the room (and of the bathroom) is very small, you cannot open a suitcase.

Great Breakfast. beautiful view . Has a great pool and jaccuzi. The room with a balcony facing the sea is nice. There is a small beach nearby.

Beatiful island, we liked everything and everyone was warm-hearted and friendly. The staff really wanted us to have a good time and couldn't do enough to help. Excellent food too. Wonderful holiday all round.

Limited wine list . Waiter, Leo, let down all the others- who were great, thoughtful and good at their jobs. More information on the hotel, the surroundings, maps, bus timetables etc. wifi etc. tourist info in all rooms needed. Housekeeping satisfactory but lacked finesse and was skimpy. E.g. topping up toilet paper, replacing all towels etc .

Breakfast superb. (Expensive for a small eater. ) Wonderful location and pool. Lovely swimming towels. Staff overall excellent. Vegetarian meals unexpectedly exciting, creative and tasty. Receptionists charming and helpful. Helped with luggage.

Terrible wifi and combined with a remote location meant you are offline much of the stay. No options for onsite food except for vegetarian restaurant. Would be nice for something to eat if you didn't want a 47 eur veg buffet.

The hotel is lovely, the family room with sea view very nice and spacious. The location is perfect, close to beautiful, authentic Sauzon where you find nice restaurants. You can also eat in the hotel restaurant, which we also enjoyed. E-bikes can be rented at the hotel. Walking the old path connecting the beaches on the cliffs is fantastic.

The lack of air both in the bedroom and restaurant. It was uncomfortable at times even though the temperature outside was not hot.

Lack of info or air in rooms, our room was very stuffy, had to leave window wide open to be comfortable at the expense of being attacked by Mosquito's! I think the restaurant meals were overrated, enjoyed the buffet starters but the main course was unpleasant, on top of which the staff served the main course but didn't mention we had to get vegetables to accompany the meal ourselves from the buffet. Personally, I'd scrub the main course and have a larger selection of starters and desserts.

We only went to breakfast and dinner once and although it all looked very nice it was buffet style and all the dishes were covered in flies. Flies are about and cant be avoided but there were no coverings on any of the food or any methods to try and keep them away. Plates of cheese were literaly crawling in them and Im afraid we couldnt ignore them and just didn't eat there again. I commented to one of. the waiters and he just said they come in at this time of the year. The hotel has no lift and it's a steep walk up from the car park followed by three flights of stairs so its not suitable if you're not very fit. The rooms have no AC so get very hot and there is no fridge or drink making facilities which would be helpful as the hotel restaurant bar etc are closed all day on a Sunday so you can't even get a drink if you are in the lounge or by the pool on that day, which was very strange. There is no make up/shaving mirror in the bathroom so it it difficult to see. The staff accommodation is opposite the bedrooms on Sunday when they are off it is very noisy at night with loud music and talking until maybe 2am

The location is beautiful probably the nicest placed hotel on the island. The pool is lovely and the general surroundings both inside and out are clean and tidy and very welcoming. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms although compact were clean and the bed was comfortable with good-quality linen. The shower was unusual but very good with lots of pressure. There are some really super restaurants and places for breakfast nearby.

We made an error for not checking our booking with Booking.com and we did not realise that we need a ferry to get to the Hotel. The hotel was responsive to our phone calls and tried to help us with booking our car on the ferry which did not happen as the ferry was full for cars. We got on as foot passengers but the hotel refused to book as a taxi on the 4 calls we made. Suggest that when they except a booking they should ask have you booked your ferry.
