It was during the heat wave and our fridge broke. We had dog food that needed to be refrigerated. It was just unlucky timing.

It was easy to access, plenty of space for cars and bikes to park, great breakfast room and breakfast. The hosts were absolutely fantastic and nothing was a problem. Happy to suggest dinner spots.

The property is a quaint and comfortable B&B, located in an ideal location to enjoy the sights of Carcassonne. Castle view from our window!! Our host, Dominique, was generously hospitable making reservations for us at the best restaurants. Breakfast is a plus, and the pool was perfect to cool off in the hot weather. We loved our stay and hope to return!

If there’s one area that could be improved, it’s the breakfast—it felt quite basic and uninspired. A bit more variety or a touch of local flavor would make a real difference. Also, with only two bikes available for guests, it would be helpful to have a few more on hand for those looking to explore the area without a car.

We had a very pleasant stay in Carcassonne. Dominique, who was helping out at the property, was particularly friendly and helpful—he gave us great tips for restaurants in Carcassonne and beyond, and even assisted with bookings. The location is excellent, with nice views and easy access to the old town. The room was quiet and comfortable, making it a solid base for exploring the region.

The coffee served at breakfast tasted machine brewed, American style, which means bitter and weak - maybe take it completely off the menu. A nice espresso machine was available in the breakfast room, however, and that made all the difference! I realize that our stay was a bit early for the tourist season, but a thorough airing of the room before arrival would have been nice to give it a fresh feel, to start the season. Otherwise, the stay was for one night only, and for that, it was a completely acceptable room.

The breakfast was lovely, with a nice variety of breads, cheeses, jams and meats. I particularly liked the location of this hotel, as it was within easy walking distance of both the new and old parts of the ville. The host could not have been kinder and more helpful, preparing a digital welcome packet and offering recommendations for dinner - even making the reservation for us. I was very happy to take advantage of the parking within the hotel's walled property!

Nothing not to like!

Everything! Our host Dominique was amazing and couldn't do enough for us, even giving us recommendations for restaurants to visit in Spain - our nexg destination! And the view from the bedroom window!! The photo is taken straight from the side of the bed!

Our stay at the Villa was too short! The view of the Castle from the Villa is amazing and everything about the accommodation was wonderful. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was fresh and yummy. Dominic was very helpful and made us restaurant recommendations and reservations.

Finding this villa is a little difficult.

The location is very convenient to visit the both of old and new city. And the host is very kInd and gave us good advices.

It would have been nice to have had a few more toiletries in the room, and maybe slippers and dressing gowns. But honestly I'm clutching at straws, the room was perfectly fine

Breakfast was absolutely fine: coffee was good, bread was excellent, good selection of cheeses and cold meats, and nice baked goods (there was some form of bread pudding with pain au chocolat-style chocolate which was really nice)

That I had to go home! I can't think of anything negative

The location was very good, just a 10 minute walk from the walls of La Cité. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable with everything we needed including a coffee machine, hairdryer etc. The bathroom had an excellent large shower. We used the little pool one day which was lovely. Dom was fantastic, recommending and booking multiple restaurants for us during our stay and collecting/dropping us to the airport for little more than the bus for 2. Breakfast was very good with a selection of cheeses, meats, yoghurt, croissants, breads etc. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Carcassonne.

Superb location at the foot of the ramparts around the old town. Very quiet. Very welcoming and helpful host. 10 minutes walk from Centre stop of shuttle from airport, 20 minutes on foot from the railway station. Magnificent view from room (Canelle). Excellent shower. Good parking in surprisingly generous garden

Not a case of what I didn’t like- but a range of fresh fruit would have been welcome. The top floor bedroom is up several flights of stairs - best avoided if you have dodgy knees and aching legs!

Location ideal- between the town and citadel. Big range of restaurants and bars just 5 minutes walk away Really friendly and accommodating hosts with great recommendations for eating out.

A lovely stay in the heart of Carcassonne. We had booked the quadruple room which was a perfect size for three of us. Comfy and clean with a coffee machine and a balcony with a stunning view of the castle. Great swimming room and outdoor facilities and the ability to charge our car was a bonus too. The location was brilliant-a ten minute walk to the old town or a similar distance into the newer part of the town. Breakfast was good too. The communication from Dominique was excellent and made our arrival and stay so much easier. We had a welcome guide sent to us prior to arrival which gave an insight into the area and when we checked in, Dominique spent time going through the locality and his recommendation of eating in a restaurant called L’Escargot was spot on. One of the best meals we have had on our two week holiday in France.

Beautiful location, gardens and surroundings. Internally and externally the Villa was completely true to the architecture and style of the city of Carcassonne. Our room had the most amazing view of the old city walls and when illuminated at night was breathtaking. The pool was situated in a pretty and cool private garden and though not large, it was perfectly proportioned for the size of the property. Facilities were ideal with a shower and toilet beside the pool. The breakfast room was light and airy, the rest of the property is cosy and welcoming. During a period of very high temperatures, it was a relief to have such amazing air conditioning in our room as well as a ceiling fan to circulate the air.
