That there was no English breakfast tea in the rooms and no cups/mugs with handles. Small Japanese style mugs get very hot with no handles to hold. There was Ceylon black tea but mostly mint and fruit teas. We like a good cup of tea first thing in the morning.

Vibrant city with great shops, restaurants and cafes. Friendly locals who had a good sense of humour especially with our very bad french.

The hotel yard and the area around the pool are small, so finding a free place is very difficult. There are more people who want to stay than there are places for them))

Quiet location in the historical center of the city, cozy and spacious rooms. Nice atmosphere and bar in the lobby, very friendly staff. Parking on site. Renting bikes really added to the atmosphere for us to understand the city.

A beautiful oasis of calm and tranquility in a beautiful city La Rochelle. Staff are particularly attentive and courteous. Room was spacious and aesthetically designed. Reception staff on hand to help at all times. Breakfast was of a very high standard with particularly attentive staff. Vibrant and courteous bar staff who love to share cocktail experiences with the guests. The courtyard area and pool is a special aspect to a stay in this hotel, it means one can relax for several hours of the day before and after going out to adventure in the city of La Rochelle. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to a return visit.

After breakfast we decided to sit outside on the loungers I went to inside the hotel to take a work call when a guest came over to her shes only 16 and asked her to give him the sun loungers there was clearly free loungers on the lower and upper poolside floor. We were taken back by his rudeness.

Staff were excellent and always helpful. It was very enjoyable stay and in a very nice quiet location but surrounded by many beautiful buildings.

The pool was much smaller than appears on the photos and there was no milk in the room for tea . The bar staff were very helpful though and provided milk on request. These were minor issues though .

Location in the city centre was excellent , the room was spacious and more like a suite , there were parking facilities , there was an electric charger , valet parking , the staff were very friendly and attentive . Would highly recommend .

We loved the quiet calm and its position in the historic centre of La Rochelle. Peaceful atmosphere - lovely plants and flowers in the courtyards.
