It was a beautifully appointed attic conversion complete with air conditioning and smart TV (with Netflix). We were invited to use the dining area for our picnic supper that we had brought with us. Very comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast. Friendly hosts.

Jean Paul is very easy to talk to, he was very welcoming. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Parking was easy. Breakfast was great. It was an easy drive to Boulogne Sur Mer.

Personally, I wanted to see more of the dog (Gaspar?) but that’s just me. Other than that, nothing!

Brit heading north or south? PERFECT resting place for journeys up and down the west side of France. 20 minutes from Calais and within a few hundred metres of an entry onto to the A16 heading home. The owners are lovely and the breakfast is a belter. We had the triple room which is up in the eves of the house and does have a sloping ceiling. I’m 6’2 and it wasn’t a problem, but I made sure I bagsied the bathroom side of the bed to be on the safe side. Spotlessly clean and really comfortable. We didn’t need the air con but great to have it in the height of summer I’d imagine. Over the years we’ve probably stayed in about 30 French B&Bs and this is our favourite. We would just like to move it further east to fit more easily into journeys to Provence.

The booking exceeded our expectations the owners were most welcoming and the room was decorated to a very high standard. Breakfast was superb, with local cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurt etc.

There was nothing about the property, location or hosts that we didn’t like.

It was so clean, comfortable and the decor was perfect. The breakfast was very good (continental). The hosts were exceptional and made us very welcome. Although we spoke little French and they spoke little English we managed to communicate well.

The property was situation near to the Channel Tunnel and was an ideal stopover for our first night in northern France. The owner was charming and made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful small gîte, tastefully decorated with everything one needs for a couple of nights stay. Peaceful location. Very pleasant breakfast. One of the best B&B’s we’ve stayed at and we’ll certainly return.

Location is perfect either for a visit to Boulogne Sur Mer which is around 15 mins away or for crossing the channel. We used it for the former. The propoerty is away from main roads so quiet during the evening. Beautifully renovated property with ample parking space. The bedroom had all the facilities you would expect and more. The hosts were perfect and friendly and the breakfast was exceptional.

We had a fantastic stay at La Paulerie with our children! Jean-Paul and Valerie are excellent hosts. The rooms are well-equipped and nicely decorated. The garden is a beautiful place to sit and relax. The breakfast was superb with homemade yogurts and jam, beautifully arranged and varied. Jean-Paul and Valérie are always happy to help and to answer any questions. We are looking forward to our next stay at La Paulerie!

nothing, there is literally nothing that is missing.. the description is accurate, the host friendly and responsive, the location perfect and the room beyond expectations..

The location is simply superb, far enough off the motorway to have absolutely no noise issues, and yet literally minutes from a junction.. the rooms and services in the room are simply superb, the air conditioning is powerful and near silent.. the room is spacious and the bed is particularly good.. in short, just about perfect.. exceeded my expectations..
