Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germany10/10 – Truly wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home. Christophe gave us great tips on where to go (thank you!), and Frédérique’s breakfasts were delicious – especially the ever-reliable orange juice! The house is beautiful, the location is perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

United KingdomIt was a shame that the garden area was unavailable. Also that the restaurant in the village was closed but we realise this was nothing to do with our charming hosts who warned us in advance so we brought a picnic with us.
Our hosts were delightful - very warm and welcoming. We were leaving at 7am so couldn't have the full breakfast but were very kindly provided with croissants, yogurt, fruit and cereal the night before for the morning, which were all delicious. The room was fantastic, with beautiful views. Very clean and comfortable. Great views from the village bar too. Ecxellent value for money and we would love to return for a longer stay.

We had the pleasure of spending one night at Chambre d'Hôtes La Marlotte in Corsica as a stopover on our motorcycle trip — and it was truly unforgettable. The hosts were absolutely wonderful: warm, welcoming, cheerful, and with a great sense of humor that instantly made us feel at home. The room was stunning — set in a beautifully renovated, centuries-old house, where every detail has been carefully and tastefully curated. The decorations are elegant and perfectly placed, creating a cozy yet refined atmosphere. Everything was impeccably clean and full of charm. The continental breakfast was worth every moment — not just for the food, but for the lovely conversation and the warm, relaxed vibe that made the whole experience feel special. This is a place with real soul. Perfect for couples looking for an authentic and heartwarming stay. Highly recommended — we only wish we could have stayed longer.

Christopher is a true gentleman. He knows everything of everything, even his marmelade is better than José who has a restaurant down the road. Frederique is a wonderfull woman. Warm and friendly. The house is a very special place. You can feel the history the moment you come through the frontdoor, and become a part of it. The brother of Christopher occasionally visits and he is the funny one. He is sometimes very present, but if you make him laugh he is your friend forever. His jokes are the best on whole of Corse.. shiva the dog is an old soul. She watches over the house and its inhabitants. To visit La Marlotte is a true experience. It will make your life richer. Dont wait too long and make a reservation there. There is no time like the present!.

United StatesEverything was great!
La Marlotte was the perfect spot for my husband and I to spend our last two nights in Corsica before taking the ferry from Bastia to Toulon. A unique accommodation nestled in the mountains, with astounding views, incredible decor, and renovations, but most of all, amazing hosts Frederick and Christof. They made us feel right at home. We laughed and shared stories. Breakfast was delicious! We loved Shiva the dog. We even took her for a walk with us one day. We miss our dogs and it was so nice to have some furry company.

DenmarkI literally don't have anything negative to say – our stay was extraordinary and exceeded all expectations. :)
Our stay in this incredibly well-renovated space was just amazing. The hosting couple is accommodating, witty, respectful and kind. The location is great for exploring the chestnut woods, hiking, swimming in waterfalls, or having an afternoon coffee in one of the small cafés in nearby towns. We spent several evenings just watching the sun set over the mountains. And can we talk about the breakfast? Such a lovely experience. We’re already matching our calendars to make sure we can return soon!

United KingdomLa Marlotte is quite remote but if you don’t mind hairpin bends an easy journey to Corte and Gorges de Restonica. At the end of the season village restaurant only open Fridays and Saturdays but La Marlotte offers use of fridge and microwave. .
Excellent hosts, very relaxed and helpful. Excellent varied breakfast and attentive hosts……always noticed when my coffee cup was empty! House has been beautifully and extensively renovated to a high degree.
