Perfect location.for old and new town of Carcassone. Beautifully decorated in classic French style.. Breakfast included a large range of freshly made options. Catherine ,Flavi and Sabine’ are wonderful, friendly hosts who are always available and offered lots of valuable information.

The only criticism I have is the stairs. If you have motility problems you will find them difficult. What I would suggest is putting hand rails all the way down both sides.

The accommodation was excellent. My room was beautiful. The staff were so helpful. Area was perfect for the old town and new.

A real gem! Fantastic location, beautiful decor, super clean, lovely continental breakfast in the courtyard or kitchen. This place is a real treat perfectly located for the castle and the city. Catherine and her team could not have made me more welcome and their approach makes it a really lovely place to stay and I would love to return!

The only thing was that the bread at breakfast wasn't fresh - surprising for France! Otherwise, we loved everything.

Beautiful chambre d'hôte very close to the walled city in Carcassonne. Our bedroom was immense and very comfortable with a bedroom that opened onto a quiet courtyard. The host and staff were incredibly welcoming to us, and we enjoyed many things about our stay. The bathroom was a beautiful remodel with an enormous and comfortable shower. The room had its own air conditioner that we only needed to use one day, but it cooled the room quickly. We enjoyed interacting with other guests over breakfast. There was a lot of parking nearby, but a couple times it was still hard to find a spot because there is no dedicated parking. Overall we really loved our stay here.

It’s great when you can’t think of how this place could be better! I guess having our room face the courtyard might have been a bonus, but even still quiet and nice to look out on the front street!

We would highly recommend this small hotel. A very comfortable spacious room right near the castle, but also right next to the pedestrian bridge to bring you to the main part of town. Breakfast provided was wonderful. The staff was very accommodating. We walked from the train station and also walked easily to the castle. We like venturing over the pedestrian bridge and walking the paths beneath that area. Close to many restaurants as well.

As we were on the top floor, had to be careful on the stairs. No problem if you're fully mobile, or just take your time.

Very welcoming and most helpful host. The room was clean, spacious, very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Lovely breakfast with homemade cake and preserves. Excellent location central for old and new Carcassonne. Restaurants along the same street with good recommendations from the host.

The property is in a fabulous location between the old and newer part of the town. The owners are very helpful and gave us very good restaurant recommendations. The rooms are lovely and very clean and comfortable.

Beautiful rooms, comfy beds with fresh, white linen, and the most delicious breakfast with fresh homemade selections. The location is ideal, walking distance to the town square and medieval cite. La Maison Vieille is exceptional, thank you for your hospitality ❤️

The shower is in the bedroom, and even with the screen in front of it, there isn't a lot of privacy. On Saturday night the restaurants and bars had live, loud music, which made it an issue to get some sleep.

The house is wonderful and the decor also. The location is perfect as it's only 10' walk from the Citadel and the Castle. The breakfast is to die for! Fresh bread and cakes and puddings and home made creme brulé. The road is full of restaurants, we were spoilt for choice!
