Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaWe stayed at Maison Lydia one night of our 3 day cycling tour on the Canal de Garonne. Our host, Beatrice, could not have been more welcoming. We were a bit delayed on the road due to a flat tire and she communicated with us proactively to make sure she would be there to welcome us when we arrived. We were able to store our bikes in the locked garage. The house itself is spotless, the rooms and bathrooms are very clean and modern and thoughtfully furnished / appointed with everything you need. Beatrice made sure we were settled in, took our breakfast order and gave us great dinner recommendations in Moissac's historic center. We had our meal in the lively central square in the shadow of the Moissac Abbey (a UNESCO World Heritage site) - just a 5 minute walk from the guesthouse. Breakfast was super tasty and fresh (including the delicious jam made by Beatrice's mother!). The guesthouse also welcomes pilgrims traveling on the Camino de Santiago and has a lovely sitting room and dining room with fireplace which would be super cozy in the colder months.

Outstanding b&b. The place was spotless and our room was very comfortable. We had a small terrace. Breakfast was excellent. Beatrice was an excellent host. She could not have been more helpful. This place is fantastic for the Chemin de St Jacques (Podiensis) and for cyclists.

AustraliaThe bathroom was separate from the room but not shared, it was clean and modern but would have preferred a bathroom with the room. This is not a criticism just a personal preference.
Very clean and great location. Our host looked after us really well.

VietnamBeatrice was most hospitable, she welcomed us earlier than check in as we were dependent on the train travel. Beatrice has created a warm, cosy atmosphere in each of the rooms and a welcoming communal breakfast and lounge room. Her continental breakfast was most satisfactory. Everything felt very homey and spectacularly clean.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing to dislike.
Welcomed by Beatrice who is a wonderful friendly host. Her property is right on the Canal Deux Mers cycle route with secure overnight bike storage. It's also a short walk into the centre of Moissac. The accommodation is immaculate with an excellent tasty breakfast. Thoroughly recommended for long distance cyclists.

Beatrice was super friendly and we were greated warmly and offered a refreshing drink. We were able to store our bikes securely in the garage. Our room was a reasonable size and our bathroom (although not en-suite) was great. Breakfast was lovely.

FranceNothing. Everything was great. If I had to be picky I’d say it can be a little loud in the evening with the traffic but I slept with ear plugs in!
Everything! Beatrice is wonderful. She even let me park my bike early. It’s right on the canal so great for a cycling stop. The rooms are immaculate and spacious and the most comfortable bed that we slept in all week. Beatrice has water & squash(sirops) with tea & coffee free anytime in the lounge area. It’s a short walk in Moissac for restaurants & bars etc. The breakfast was great and sets you up for the morning. Would thoroughly recommend.

United KingdomNothing at all, I had an excellent stay
My stay was excellent and that was all down to the wonderful host Beatrice. When you are staying away from home you hope you can find some warmth and hospitality on your journey and the stay at La Maison Lydia offered exactly that! I had been cycling all day and I found the accommodation to be very clean, comfortable and a great location but the stand out was the service from Beatrice, nothing was too much trouble, from storing my bicycle, securely, offering travel tips and refreshments and generally making me feel completely at home. This is a small business so please read my review and pay Beatrice a visit, you won't be disappointed.

AustraliaThere was nothing about this property I didn't like.
I was in a double room with an ensuite bathroom. It is at the back of the property with a private terrace. The other 3 rooms have bathrooms across the hall from the bedrooms. The property faces onto the Canal Lateral a La Garonne. The street onto which the property faces, running parallel to the canal, carries very little traffic. So whilst my room at the rear of the building was quiet, I imagine that all of the rooms are quiet. The host is welcoming, delightful and speaks perfect English. I was impressed with all aspects of my room and bathroom, including the high quality linen and towels. The cleanliness of the property reflects the host's attention to detail, which carries through to a lovely breakfast, meticulously presented. I enjoyed my stay very much. There's a very comfortable lounge area for the use of guests, and a terrace overlooking the canal. Moissac isn't a big town and the historic centre and railway station are within easy walking distance. Highly recommended.
