Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomParking is a challenge. Don’t try to drive right to the property, but rely on upon wheeled cases once you have parked nearby. In truth we didn’t find this a huge negative and parked near the cathedral which was perhaps a five minute walk. The property has been refurbished in the recent past and some aspects, like the staircase have been done really well, however the carpenter and painter who did the work in our room, did a poor job, which is a great pity. Don’t be put off by the entrance from the alleyway. You will like the property as soon as you get inside! My wife was disappointed that there were no croissants at breakfast’
This is not an hotel but is an ancient building contains three or four en-suite rooms. Ours faced the cloister which is shown in the photographs. It was of good size with a nice bathroom with bath and shower. It had good aircon (which was essential when we stayed). It İs a special and memorable place. A big positive is that in the evening the cloister is locked but you get a key and have access. The owners couldn’t be nicer and arranged a “picnic” dinner for us at a table overlooking the cloister. We then took our wine downstairs and sat with one other guest in the garden. Note they sell wine which we didn’t realise until our second night. The breakfast is pleasant and served by the co-owner. The young couple who own the property are both very nice and speak excellent English. Albi is a truly nice town and you are right in the centre with lots to do.

We had such a lovely stay, the room had an amazing view over the gardens and breakfast with the same view was lovely. Noah also gave some great recommendations of places near by to visit. We wish we had more than a one night stay!

AustraliaThe bed in our apartment was firmer than I prefer, but many will find it completely satisfactory.
This is an extraordinary property presented beautifully, with understated claims but a deeply satisfying experience. The adjacent cloister is a bonus if you have our top floor room, but the entire property has access to this beautiful and historic element. Breakfast is of a very good standard - delivered calmly and elegantly by Camille - and Noah's dad. A highlight stay in many travels through France! 10/10

United StatesThe young couple hosting this property are lovely people who care a lot about the experience of their guests. They have renovated the property carefully and have created a space that is almost like an art gallery with its aesthetics. There are a couple modern staircases up to our room, but they carried the luggage up for us. The location is extremely close to the cathedral and very convenient.

FranceNothing... everything was absolutely perfect.
The property is perfectly located in the city center of Albi. The guesthouse has amazing old-world charm combined with modern amenities and the hosts are exceptionally personable, accommodating, and kind. They even gave us a bottle of sparkling water from their own refrigerator when we asked too late (Sunday evening, shops closed) about where to purchase water. It was almost 100 degrees Fahrenheit that evening and we were so appreciative! Finally, for breakfast, Camille made for us crepes from her grandmother's recipe. What a lovely stay....
