The breakfast was freshly made, tasty, and vegan options were given! The coffee was really good! The hosts could not try hard enough to make our stay enjoyable.

La Libertie is to be found in a beautiful and peaceful countryside setting with a running stream and small lake, a haven for wildlife. Everything about the place is very special, including the friendly and caring owners, Johan and Christina, who have thoughtfully anticipated the needs of their guests, unlike so many other hotels these days. Because of our travel schedule we could only stay for 1 night but that still enabled us to experience dinner in the restaurant - the food was exceptional, really outstanding. We stayed at several hotels during our recent "Tour de France" and ate in many restaurants, La Libertie was the very best of all, and certainly not the most expensive. We highly recommend La Libertie and hope we can return again soon.

We would happily stay again but next time we’ll rent a car, rather than booking taxis, as the location is a little remote.

Our hosts were so helpful and kind on many occasions, always going above and beyond! The accommodation is stunning and such a treat visiting the pool! We also had dinner in the restaurant and everyone’s food was delicious!

The fan in our bathroom didn't appear to be working so it got a little damp, but it clearly wasn't too disruptive as we forgot to report it to the host. Everything else was excellent.

Beautiful setting - gorgeous gardens in an amazing rural and very peaceful location. Lovely breakfast. Very friendly staff. Gorgeous pool. Incredible restaurant.

It is the most beautiful property located in really serene countryside. Christina and Johan were so warm and welcoming, we were very well looked after. The food was lovely as well. It’s a perfect place for a relaxing break. I could not recommend it enough.

Really lovely country hotel with an excellent restaurant. Johan and Christina are wonderful hosts, relaxed, helpful and extremely friendly. I would recommend La Libertie for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with good food and lots to do in the area if you are willing to drive a bit.

This hidden gem “chambre d’hôte charmant” situated in a beautiful garden and overlooking the surrounding rural landscape in complete quietness was a fantastic treat to us in every way. Run by a wonderful couple from Sweden, fluent in French and English, with a serious background in hospitality, we were welcomed with a smile at the garden gate from check in. The building has been completely renovated and breaths comfort, luxury and attention to detail everywhere you go. The rooms, with super comfy beds, bathrooms with rain shower, the interior decorations all makes you feel home from the first minute. Then there is the pool with again super comfortable pool beds all prepared with towels and cool water brought to you while relaxing at the poolside. The restaurant is again very nicely designed where you can dine or have breakfast in comfort and privacy. The chef prepares high end seasonal cuisine in a combination of French with touches of Swedish and other world kitchen and there is a great wine list. So long story short, we didn’t really want to leave, this is a place you definitely want to come back to.
