Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThey have an indoor-outdoor cat on the property. If you have pet allergies, you will need to take this into consideration.
La Grange des Ecrins is in a beautiful location at the base of the (southern side of) French Alps ‐ just past the city of Gap. The property is well-maintained and inviting. I liked the charm of the property. Every room is uniquely decorated with a different view of nature, and the rustic style of the hotel transports you to a relaxing hideaway. Another wonderful feature of this property is the breakfast (included) and dinner (optional). The chef creates a unique fusion of local cuisine and Asian flavors (dinner) that will take your palate on a delicious adventure. The entire staff was very accommodating. When I needed something for my room or while dining, the response was prompt and gracious. While on my retreat, I wanted to explore the nearby village and do a short walk/hike. JB is very knowledgeable of the area (including the national park); so, he made some recommendations for dining and took me to the best place for my short hike. He also told me about special events at the hotel and in the nearby village throughout the year. This was just the getaway that I needed, and I do plan to return.

United KingdomAnother great stay at La Grange des Ecrins. Extremely relaxing, lovely hosts and wonderful food. This is a great base from which to explore the Southern Alps. We travelled with an 18 month old and there was lots for him to do at La Grange - slide/swing/tree house, and the owners were very accommodating preparing food for him.

FranceThe property is magnificently situated with a privileged view over the Champsaur valley, offering breathtaking scenery that we could admire all day. The owners were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home upon arrival. Jean's precious hiking advice was invaluable, leading us to beautiful trails in the area. The incredible dinner was another highlight of our stay, where we had the pleasure of meeting other friendly and interesting guests. The atmosphere was filled with joy, relaxation, and comfort, making it an unforgettable experience.

We loved everything about this place, the location, the house, the garden/pool area, the food, the hosts, the interaction with the other guests at dinner! Jean and Meg were fantastic hosts, Jean helped us daily with sightseeing and walking suggestions, Meg made us amazing food for breakfast and dinner and even a delicious packed lunch! We loved the atmosphere of the place, we especially enjoyed the communal dinners. The room had everything we needed but it was the overall feeling of the place that we enjoyed so much.
