Absolutely nothing and I’m fussy!

An exceptional place. Everything was so fresh and clean. The hosts could not do enough for us and the crepes for breakfast were a real hit.

I write the following to suggest how the place can become perfect from our point of view. Although our twin family room was comfortable, overall, we didn't have air-conditioning. At first I was disappointed, but realised quickly that the rooms didn't heat-up and it wasn't as warm as I anticipated, despite outside temperatures being above 30 degrees. The other guests rooms have AC, apparently (this should be mentioned clearly on Booking-com, with a note that some of the rooms don't actually need AC. There is a communal outdoor (covered) dining room area and kitchenette, with a fridge and microwave. I would have preferred to have dishes and cutlery available there all the time, instead of having to request (though they quickly provided). More cooking facilities would have helped, including a BBQ, particularly if you are a family wanting more independence. However, this is a personal preference and the hosts were very accommodating if you asked for anything. So, this is not really a criticism, just a preference.

The hosts, Kati and Jean-Luke, are very pleasant and was great to get to know them. They live at the location and run everything together with care and attention. Everything was very clean and ordered. There is style and method in everything they do. Decorations are fabulous. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of healthy, local products (mostly grown on their site). Kati produces her own yogurt (amazing) and various jam preserves, to die for. They really tried hard to tend to our needs and produced every time we requested something. Our bed mattresses were very comfortable. The swimming pool is definitely a bonus during hot conditions. Don't forget to do some star-gazing by the pool on a clear night: We witnessed shooting-stars! The quietness and tranquility must be mentioned too. The p[lace is so safe that we left our doors open at night, allowing fresh, cool air inside. They have ingenious insect-nets on all entry doors. Finally, the hosts speak English well enough and made a great deal of effort to learn more. There are fabulous people.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and we absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area. The hosts were an absolute delight the entire stay, they put so much effort in to make sure it was a great stay for us. Also, one of the hosts was a designer and it really shows with the interior decorating - the place is absolutely beautiful!

Loved the stay in the old bakery. Lovely friendly hosts who were very patient with our lack of French. Great breakfast with home made yoghurt, gateau and jams. A nice quiet location with nice pool if you want to relax and not too far from beautiful towns in Indre et Loire. We would stay again if we are in the area.

Swimming pool on the small side but adequate for our needs. steps to the pool a bit too high for some.

Very helpful, caring and friendly hosts - a homely atmosphere and v. useful briefing on arrival. Lovely house and space around, amazing room/suite in a converted old building nicely furnished and decorated. Great bathroom with large walk in tiled shower. USB sockets next to bed. Nice location surrounded by fields and meadows with horses. Exceptional breakfast with generous servings and choice, homemade marmalades, pancakes. Unusual for B&B provision of a communal external and canopied sitting /eating area with a microwave and a fridge. Drinks, bears and wine are available and various foods are stored there which guests can buy and heat up. V useful on occasions as very few restaurants are within reasonable distance.

Nothing, everything was incredible...

Kati and Jean Luke were the most amazing hosts. The property itself is in amazing condition and very well looked after. The Pool was immaculate and breakfast was great. It was my wife's birthday when we arrived and Kati gave us a little bottle of something to celebrate. We'd love to come back as they really love what they do and they were great with our kids.

There was nothing which I did not enjoy.

A pearl in the middle of a lovely French country side located in Cussay. A very warm welcome, excellent rooms and extremely clean. Lovely spacious garden with swimming pool and covered area outside, to have a bite to eat, a drink or play a game. Kati’s and Jean-Luc’s hospitality is superb. Breakfast was an experience by itself. We all loved the home made and regional products served. If you are looking for a place to relax this is the place to go!
