At this price point, with this level of service, cleanliness, and breakfast, only a Karen would find something to complain about !!!

We stayed at Julien’s place in Vence for two nights as a stopover on our way to our holiday destination – and it was the perfect choice. The value for money is truly exceptional; it's hard to find anything comparable in this price range. The property is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed. Breakfast was generous and delicious, served by the pool with a stunning view. There’s even a small but well-equipped fitness room with a breathtaking panorama – a rare and much-appreciated extra. The pool area is peaceful and inviting, and there are several wooden deck chairs and benches spread across the grounds, ideal for relaxing in the evening or during the day while taking in the beautiful scenery. All in all, a perfect place to unwind and recharge. Highly recommended – even more so if you're looking for a relaxing stopover like we were!

There was genuinely not anything that we didn't like. If we had to pick one thing that could be improved for the property to be even better, it would be the bath/shower setup. The water pressure was great, but the corner bath had a wall-mounted shower without a screen or curtain, so it made showering a bit awkward without splashing water around. Not a big deal at all, just something to be aware of. Also, the drive up to the property is up in the hills, so the road is a little narrow with a few hairpin bends, but nothing unmanageable.

We had a really great stay. Julien was a brilliant host. He was helpful before we arrived, sending over useful info on how to find the place and check in. He met us at the door when we got there and even helped carry our bags in, which was a lovely touch. He gave us a warm welcome and was genuinely friendly, with loads of great tips on where to eat, grab drinks, and what to check out nearby. The views from the place were amazing and made having breakfast each morning feel pretty special. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and just what we needed to start the day. Julien even sorted us out with a little breakfast to take with us on our last morning since we were leaving early, which was really kind of him, he really goes above and beyond. The whole place was spotless. The room was a good size with plenty of space for clothes, the bed and pillows were comfy, and the location was peaceful and quiet. The garden and pool area were also really well looked after and a great place to relax. There was also a little gym area which was a nice bonus Would definitely recommend.

Drive is a bit challenging, but not long and worth it

This B&B is AMAZING. I travel 30 weeks a year and this is one of the best places I have stayed at. Incredible views, this is a little jewel in the hills of the French Riviera. So comfortable and quiet, away from the craziness of the towns by the water. The host is extremely kind and helpful and makes sure you have everything you need at all times. 10/10 recommend.

It‘s a paradise! Beautiful Garden with a stunning view. Very very friendly hosts. Going up the hill along the narrow street is ok for experienced drivers. Vence is beautiful!

The only negative about this property is getting to it. The switchbacks getting up to the property are hair raising! :-) Be sure to lease an automatic transmission. I leased a standard shift, which did not help with the switchbacks, one of which I usually had to back up to make.

La Colline de Vence was a fabulous property. Our host was terrific. He was cordial and extremely helpful. Everything about the property was just as advertised and even more. The view of the Mediterranean was amazing, from our property. I highly recommend this property and its management. Fabulous expereience.

The drive to the property includes quite scary mountain serpentines that were a bit difficult for us city folk!

Breakfast was quite basic(Croissant, juice, bread and butter/marmalade etc) with a choice of coffee and tea and slightly below expectations. The day of the checkout the cleaning lady came to clean the room at 9:30-ish and did not want to leave even though we were busy packing, which was strange. Because the check-out time is 11am and check-in time 5pm, there was plenty of time to clean for the next guest after we leave. it could be a one-off but I found it strange.

The location and comfort. The host and staff were friendly. The grounds are very beautiful and so is the view. We found ample space for parking etc. The rooms were air-conditioned which really helped with the hot nights.

Extremely curvy and narrow roads to the location, with no lunch or dinner service. Must drive down the mountain to Vence for everything.
