Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBeing British, we would have loved tea/coffee making facilities in the room! Our attic room, as well as being quite hot, was also roadside so we heard the traffic in the morning. There was a nice and quiet A/C unit but we couldn't work out how to keep it on! The bathroom was great but the very wide basin was style over substance as there wasn't anywhere to put toiletries - especially as we were 3 women! Minor detail - we coped!
We were attending the European Dressage Championships in Crozet so the location of La Bonne Auberge was excellent - especially as it was in walking distance of decent restaurants. The hotel owner was delightful, friendly, helpful, spoke good English. We knew our room was going to be a bit small, it was an attic room for 3 people but it was perfectly satisfactory. It was very clean with a good bathroom - great shower. It was quite warm being in the attic but there was an a/c unit which was nice and quiet - but did seem to switch itself off. The continental breakfasts were excellent - the biggest pain chocolat I've ever seen!

United KingdomI suffer from dustmite allergy and I had an allergic reaction to the bed. The mattress and pillows probably need cleaning. I couldn't bring myself to tell the kind and friendly owner. There were ants under the bath which I did confess to! No meals were provided but this was clear in the booking.
This is very convenient for GVA, the trees in the garden of this old farm are large and lovely. I could walk to the supermarket. A lovely restaurant just down the road served me a truly wonderful supper. Friendly owner.

United StatesThe owner was wonderful to accommodate our last minute booking. The courtyard is lovely and breakfast was too. She also recommended the restaurant Le Gare and we had a lovely dinner al fresco. If you have a car, this comfortable, accommodating inn is worth going off the beaten path.

Lovely small Hotel in a quiet convenient area to the Geneva airport (20 minutes) But the real reason to stay here is the staff. Cannot emphasize enough that staff is amazing. Breakfast really interesting with a 5 star cheese offer, great coffee and some delicious fresh fruit. We were able to enjoy our meal out on the lawn under the shade of umbrellas. Bed super comfortable, and staff and owners go out of their way to assist with great recommendations for shopping, outdoor activities and other information including restaurants -loved Chez Arno - easy 3 minute walk Excellent stay. Thanks again!

United KingdomWe have no suggestions to make on this occasion
It is a small, family-run hotel. It is clean, efficient, well equipped and managed. We found its staff pleasant and helpful. It serves a modest but good continental breakfast.

United KingdomNothing. It was all great.
This is a really delightful Hotel. It is like home from home. It is clean and comfortable. The Owner and her team are lovely, friendly and helpful. They do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast is traditional French style, served in a comfortable room or in a pretty garden. Eggs are available if you want. Delicious. The Hotel is in a typical French Village, with a good Restaurant just down the road. We will definitely stay there again.

United KingdomNo restaurant on site but shops, supermarket and restaurants within a few minutes drive.
Comfortable room, exactly as described. Easy to find in quiet spot with plenty of parking. More traditionally French than chain hotels. About 15-20 minutes drive to Geneva/Geneva airport/lake.

United KingdomMy only criticism of the property was the size of the bathroom, but I am 6ft 5” and slightly cuddly so for most normal people it would be fine.
The owner! elle était absolument magnifique, she saw us turn up two hours early and let us in to our room, it was a last minute booking too, nothing was too much trouble for this lovely lady!

GreeceThe bathroom wasn't spacious enough and lacked a heating system. There was no elevator or special equipment to help carry luggage to the first floor.
The auberge and room featured vintage decor combined with modern technological amenities to meet guests' needs. The location is quiet, with a pleasant yard and convenient transportation, making it ideal for visiting Geneva. Overall, the hospitality was warm and welcoming.

United KingdomWe weren't provided with instructions about how to access the WIFI. We figured out that if we stayed in the corridor outside our room, we could automatically connect to it, but the signal was non existent inside our bedroom. The folding door to access the batroom was a bit squeacky.
Tiny triple room but beds were very comfortable. A very good shower, good air conditioning and a nice garden. A choice of restaurants and bakeries just round the corner.

NetherlandsRooms were a bit small, but perfectly adequate. They had AC, which was really nice since we were there during a heat wave. Check in is during a limited period (5-8 ish). So be sure to check this carefully.
The hosts here were so friendly and helpful. The neighborhood had some unexpectedly wonderful shops and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious. Simple. With a mix of fresh breads and croissants. Cheeses and ham. Coffee, fruit and cereal. Served in their lovely garden. I really enjoyed this relaxing time of the day. The town was conveniently located between Geneva and the Jura mountains. We spent time in both.

United StatesStairs were a bit dark during the day to maneuver.
We reserved one room for the disabled and one regular room. Our friends who used the disabled room were very pleased with its size and the expansive and safe bathroom, also that it was on the ground floor, so no steps. Our room was also fine, albeit a bit warm with the heat, and being on the first/second floor (depending on where you’re from). A breakfast was offered, but we chose not to have it, as it usually ends up being more than we want early in the morning, but they accommodated us with just coffee and a croissant. Lovely outside garden!
