I had a beautiful stay at the B&B L'Escapade Bordelaise. Julien and Valentine were incredibly friendly and welcoming - and the room and facilities in the B&B were absolutely beautiful. You could not be better positioned to proximity to the bars, restaurants, monuments of Bordeaux in the B&B L'Escapade Bordelaise. I look forward to staying again :)

It was hot while we were there, and although a fan was provided, the room was very warm at night

It was in an excellent location down a quiet street, but in the centre of Bordeaux. The room was very large, with a huge open-plan bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The staff member who greeted us and let us in early was lovely.

A room in an old style apartment, located on the 1st floor, just a few steps aways from the shopping streets, the opera, the river - perfect and still quiet location. Communication with owner as well as staff on site was very good. We slept very well! ;-)

A great place to use as a base in Bordeaux centre-ville. Close to bars and restaurants and shopping. We were well looked after by the owners who prepared the room for us as it was a heatwave. We stayed cool. Thank you.

We had the Grand Hommes room, which is the only room situated downstairs via a spiral staircase. It was a little musty and dark. Opening the large windows is an option to deal with that, but that allows mosquitoes in. As there are buildings directly opposite, the open windows means your privacy is compromised, or, if you close the black curtains, it’s dark. Julien has a device that discourages mosquitoes from entering but we still had a few! Note that all the upstairs rooms we saw were light and bright, though.

Julien is a superb host. He is extremely helpful and engaging, with the needs of his guests at heart. The central location meant we were near transport options and many of the sights and areas we wished to visit. The bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. Julien services the room every day. Breakfast consisted of delicious plain croissants, two types of bread, jams, three types of muesli, yoghurt, juice, and tea and coffee. You can use the kitchen facilities day and night yourself, too. The place has a charm about it, and is very quiet at night.

The location was truly excellent. We really loved the neighbourhood and the convenience to the Tram. We also enjoyed having the use of the living room and kitchen and could make ourselves a cup of tea in the evening. Our hosts were very helpful and attentive as well.

Finding it was difficult. We found the building but there are no signs, and to start with we couldn't find the bell as the writing is completely faded. This needs to be addressed. When we did find the bell we had to ring three times. But when the host arrived he was very charming. Breakfast was basic but fine.

Several (4) locked doors and sets of stairs leading to our room. The building is a few hundred years old so there was some noise but it has been remodelled nicely inside. A TV would have been nice for news in the evening. Look for a green door. There is no address but Julienne was kindly waiting for us.

Location was excellent and a very attentive and helpful host. The place was spotless and breakfast was excellent. I loved that Julienne would change the time to accommodate us. We enjoyed the common living area at night where we could relax and work on emails.

Had to keep the window closed or you would smell the cigarette smoke come in from the restaurant staff across the street.

Loved our stay here!! If I'm ever back in Bordeaux I will make sure to check if it's available. First of all the place is beautiful and very well kept. Julien (host) does an amazing in securing a comfortable stay and he even made of breakfast (pastries, jam, juice, coffee). The place is in the best location. You are right by the shops and countless of restaurants. I was happy every night to come back here and lay my head down. It felt like home and was really comfortable. Cleanliness is so important to me and it was outstanding. Thank you Julien!!

Super central to everywhere within walking distance & trams, buses close. Julienne our host was exceptional, great humour, provides a substantial breakfast, a bucketful of knowledge & extremely helpful with organising transport & taxis, very caring person.
