Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

-Great location. The property was centrally located in the center of the town and a 5 min walk from train station. -Staff super friendly and professional. - Rooms are cozy with enough space to walk around the room.

The location was great. Easy access and the staff were nice and helpful. Had eaten at he restaurant in the past, the foods great. The bed was comfortable. In all the stay was nice

United KingdomThen there was the less good. I arrived, as noted, on a Monday, so no one was at the front desk. A code sent by email at the last minute allows access, and on entering, I found a row of keys standing on the counter, each with a name, but with no indication of floor or room location. It is not a large hotel, so the room would not be so difficult to find, but there are several dozen rooms on three floors. I guessed a floor - there is a lift that comes quickly - and met a housekeeper who directed me. My French was not bad ... 25 years ago, so I found it of limited help. She was informative, but not ... welcoming. When I entered the room, I was surprised at how small it was, but realised it was, after all, adequate. But it was facing south, on a warm day in June. The high that day was in the 30s C. There is no air conditioning in the hotel, but also no fan, no ventilation. It was hot. It also faced what turned out to be a meeting place just across the street from the hotel that was loud until midnight. Then there was the bar of soap: a tiny bar of soap, 12 grams. There was also a small sachet of shower gel which I avoid, so I asked the housekeeper for a second bar of soap. She was very clear that that was out of the question, which rather astonished me. There was also a plastic cup provided, that was so thin that it was hard to hold without crushing it. So, in cooler weather, and arriving on a different day, I may have had a stellar experience, except, I suppose, for the soap, ... and facing the street. In the end, its location would probably be the reason I would return.
For my particular needs, the location was ideal, and it was also in the centre of Le Vícinet, facing the church around which the town was built. Also, everyone in the town knew it, so it was easy to ask directions. The hotel was very clean and neat, and while I arrived on a Monday when the restaurant was closed, there were tables set up in front that made a comfortable "stop and look around" location. The room I had was in no way large, but sufficient, with a very nicely done shower & toilet and there was a brief wait for hot water. There were ample towels. The bed was large and comfortable, and the coverings more than adequate. I was facing the church, the centre of the town though a large, high window that let in plenty of light, with both light & heavy drapes. The town, Le Vícinet, is very much a posh place, so very civilised, but also expensive, as reflected in the costs of the rooms at the hotel.

United KingdomVirtually no welcome. Key on reception. Just the briefest of information given. We had to ask about everything we needed.
It was well located on the Green Route to Paris - and left us with a short distance to go in the morning. ( we were cycling) It was well situated for good restaurants and bars for the evening. The room was comfortable but small and quite basic.

AustraliaNothing - it was very pleasant - I agree to a doubt bed so that is ok, it is just that I am used to a king bed at home, so it felt a bit small, this is not a complaint.
A very beautiful part on the outskirts of Paris - the hotel is located within a picturesque part of the Le Vésinet town square opposite a pretty church. We appreciate that the staff minded our bags for us before the check in time.

United KingdomUnacceptable to be functioning as a hotel with the current building work that is going on. We booked a premium room that was supposed to have a view of the square. On arrival we found the hotel scaffolded and the only view was dirty building materials. Due to the obscured windows the room was dark and unsightly. The staff could not speak English and did not appear to understand French, so we were unable to adequately raise our concerns. Booking.com should be checking that the information on the website is accurate and current.

SwitzerlandI cannot think of anything
Fantastic location just 5 mns from the train station (Le Vesinet Centre), close to all amenities and shops (including two excellent pastry shops, a Monoprix). I like staying at the Auberge des trois Marches which offers me all I expect from a hotel: a comfortable room at a reasonable price, calm and good service. I like the view of the rooms which oversee the church and its square. The cherry on the cake is the hotel manager who is extremely professional and makes me feel at home each time I come, as I have now become a regular visitor.

SwitzerlandVery basic room and facilities, seemed like a 2 star not a 3. I would have lower expectations if the price was cheaper but the room rate is at least 3 star. Also some things didn’t work well - the toilet flush needed several tries to make it work; the shower head needed replacing.
The location is an easy walk from the train station and the hotel is one of a very few options for staying in Le Vésinet.

Location is good. There is almost nowhere to stay in Les Vesinet. The rooms are small and sparsely/basically furnished… very 1960s, but clean. Staff are friendly and efficient. Bed was Ikea comfortable. Lunch in the terrace outside the church square was tasty and service was very good.
