How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing at all!
I love everything about this hotel! I have stayed here a number of times and it has always been great! It is in an excellent location, just a short walk into the town which is a small and very charming place. The hotel has lots of parking directly outside the hotel and is easy to find from the autoroute. It was really busy during our stay but it was still quiet in the bedrooms and pleasant to sit in the public areas. The staff manage everything so well. They are lovely, very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is really good with a wide range of options available. We will certainly be returning in the future.

We were not advised in advance that the restaurant would be closed on our return visit. This was very inconvenient after a long day's drive.

There was no problem with our stay.
Our room was dark and quiet - perfect for a light sleeper like me! The shower was nice and hot, with plenty of pressure. The breakfast had both cold and hot options, and the breakfast area was kept clean and well stocked for the duration of the breakfast time. The room was small but well designed so it didn't feel cramped. There was ample off-road parking in a well-lit lot. The receptionist that was working the evening of August 18 was brilliant. She was well organized, even though she was clearly 'doing it all' by herself, including serving guests at the small bar/lounge, checking people in, and dealing with an issue with the t.v. in our room. She stayed on task and solved the slight problem whilst being rushed off her feet - and she should be commended for this!! This is what Ibis offers, and it seems to be reliably decent no matter where you go. We have been 'surprised' in a negative way, but we've been 'surprised' in a good way, many times.

No minuses, everything was absolutely fine
Excellent location close to the motorway and only a short walk to the old centre. Good parking facilties. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Great value for money.

Rooms are small and there is no fridge. You can't beat if for the price though. Well worth it!
Clean rooms, friendly staff, free parking, walking distance from the city center.

Didn't see a lift so could be a problem for the elderly or the disabled BUT there might be one that I didn't see.
Just a quick overnight as we travelled through France and it ticked all the boxes.

They seemed a little short staffed.
We were disappointed not to be informed in advance that the restaurant was closed Sunday evenings. We went into the local town centre and found excellent food available.

Your Tv was Very poor Many channels did not work, bad tune. No one on site were able to adjust. I know i am in France, but you are an international organisation. You did not have a single news channel in English. and even France 24, a regular foir me in england did not work. Think this is poor and not up to your past standard. May i say on this trip in 4 accord holels ibis and Novertel not one had a single english news channel operating.
