How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The plastic mattress cover made the night difficult. It circles every time you move and traps pools of sweat. Uncomfortable.
The room was a good size. It was quiet and had a view of a Roman site.

It is a typical IBIS hotel, rooms are clean and functional even if they have relatively basic and lack any charme. You know what you buy, which is always a good point. Another good point is that it has a private parking, which is very convenient if you are coming by car. The location is also good as it is at the Northern end of the historic city centre, so all attractions are at walking distance.

Parking is very small, difficult for bigger cars and needs reservations as it is very limited
Breakfast was good, and they organized “connected rooms” for our comfort.

Cleanliness was quite a bit off. We booked two rooms, the one one the patio side had a very smelly bathroom.
The location was brilliant, the beds were comfortable.

The toilet could do with a deeper clean ….. just at U bend ….. not too nice to see. They could do a lot more with their outside courtyard ….. needs a bit of makeover …..plants desperate for a gardener and seats and tables not attractive ….. really just for smokers I felt but could have been nice.
I had a nice quiet outlook from my room over the courtyard and up to the hill fort . Ideal because the traffic noise must be obvious on the other side of hotel . Bed was comfortable, all pretty clean. Breakfast had a reasonable choice and plenty of decent coffee. Air con was easy to adjust for night time and worked pretty quietly.

Parking is good underground but tricky to get into due to busy junction. Receptionist took a long time to serve us because taking a booking on phone!
Location for good restaurants and city centre was great.

Traffic noise was all night long. Made sleeping difficult.
Room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. Parking was at the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and nice. Staff was helpful and friendly although English was limited.

Parking is awful! We ended up denting up our very tiny vehicle trying to park in their very tiny garage. Ibis' parking is always unreliable. If you are not traveling by vehicle, I'd totally stay at an Ibis; however, if you have a vehicle, I'd stay at a B&B Hotel chain.
We arrived during a rainstorm, and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. They made us feel right at home.

Parking. We paid extra, but the underground carpark had no lighting and was ridiculously tight. I now have a French birthmark on my car.
Well, it is an Ibis hotel, so very typical. Room clean but basic. Our view was fantastic- roof tops and the castle. If you were on the other side, then the traffic would have been a nightmare. We got lucky. Did not have breakfast, as only stayed one night. Central to the old part of Vienne, walking distance to all the main sights.

The parking is completely inadequate was told no spaces parking across road which is full. We had to park 10 minute walk away in open and spent night worrying about car. She said we had to reserve space in car park but nothing on booking site to say that vet unimpressed
The place is in a great location. Hotel was very good but staff weren't as please t as in previous ibis hotels
