Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaAir conditioning was not working at all. When I was outside I noticed that almost all rooms have opened windows meaning that they also have issues with air conditioning. Getting in to the parking during the late evening/night was an other story, who knew that you should not leave your parking ticket in a car as it will be required to enter parking later. And we got stuck in parking elevator twice! First time when security answered the call and opened a lift for us and second time when security allowed us to enter parking using regular entrance and security man decided to escort us to a car using a lift... we told him that we got stuck in a lift like 5 minutes before but he showed us his badge with writing "SECURITY" and told that we are safe and there is nothing to be scared of... If only you could see his face when we got stuck second time....
When I told on reception that we have air conditioning problems as an option I was offered a fan and it saved us during the night.

United KingdomWhilst the bed was a little hard for us, we enjoyed our night here. The staff were really helpful, especially with the parking. The location is a little out of the centre but there were plenty of shops & restaurants nearby. The bathroom was fine with a large shower. We were happy for a nights stay!

RomaniaA bit poorly maintained, not so clean like other Ibis locations, and staff does not seem too happy to see you. You have to give 100 euro deposit for potential damages.
Comfortable beds, parking very convenient (Q-Park Espercieux), good restaurant inside hotel.

MaltaHowever, the room itself was very basic. It came with only two large towels, no hand towels. The toiletries had almost no scent and felt very generic. Cleanliness could have been better as there were some hairs left in the shower. The bedroom included a long mirror, a TV, a few hangers, a small table, and a chair, but it lacked basic amenities like a refrigerator and a kettle, which would have been appreciated for better comfort.
The hotel’s location was very convenient, right next to a tram stop which made getting around easy. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

FranceWe were staying in Marseille for a concert at the Velodrome. Can't blame them, when every hotel in town was doing it, but the price was elevated accordingly.
Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. We knew we would miss dinner time, so they arranged for us to have a meal waiting when we returned late at night. Comfortable bed and a clean room. Breakfast was good. Excellent transport links - tram stop right outside, 5 mins walk to Metro.

SpainThe only missing would be a small fridge in the room and mosquito net in the windows.
The bedroom with a bathroom - all clean. The basics like tv, ac or shampoo and towels were provided. Very comfortable and king size bed. Nice, modern neighbourhood and very welcoming staff. To the staff manager: I wanted to take a moment to mention how much I enjoyed the breakfast service during my stay - especially the thoughtful attention from Gaëtan. His warm, welcoming attitude each morning really stood out. When I mentioned some dietary preferences (gluten and lactose intolerance), he made sure I had everything I needed, even remembering small details the next day. It's that kind of genuine care that makes all the difference for guests. Having worked in the similar industry myself when adolescent, I know how much effort goes into maintaining that level of service day after day. Please know it doesn't go unnoticed and take care of good personnel so they don’t get burned out. Warm regards!

AustriaA hotwater maker or coffee machine in the room would be nice, but that's looking for an invisible hair in the soup as by default it is not part of the Ibis deal.
Practical location a bit out of centre, but still good walking distance to St Charles, 20 mins to Vieux Port, and 5 mins to metro Joliette, in a modernized neigborhood.. Room in the known basic Ibis way, with a tiny touch of style. I was in an upper floor to the north side, which was quiet. Good breakfast, useful bar. Even though there is no lack of good restaurants in walking distance, the option for dinner in the hotel is useful when arriving late, and the kitchen was good.

United KingdomWe booked a room with double bed and single bed for the space. ended up with a double bed room, bit small. No drawers to put cloths into when staying for a few days get cloths out of the suitcase stop the creases. no problem if you like living out of a suitcase. Theres only a cloths railing with 4 hangers, and this partly covers the tv and the blinds for the window, so this railing runs across the full wall, and then also try and squeeze a table and chair into this space,so always reaching to pull th curtains back form the winow in the morning. Only 2x bath towels and 1x hand towel in the bathroom for 2x people, kept asking for more towels but never happened. Bar in the evening is strange, well was for us. You dont go to the bar and order drinks, give you the feeling you have 2x heads when you do after giving up waiting. There is staff walking about taking orders but depending on where you are sitting and how many customers in they walk pass you 4-5 times before you can get their attention. At home in Notheren Ireland, you want a drink, go get, dont ask you dont get.
This hotel you felt safe in and around it. Staff were more than helpful. Breakfast was plentyfull. had everything, croissants, bread, fruit, all types of cereals, jams, ham, cheeses, cold bolied egg, etc. jucies and coffee machine.tea you make yourself in a bag. Hot food was scramble egg, sausages, beans and toast. Tram is just a 2 min walk outside the main door to the left, that takes you to the metro, all depending on where you want to go. At the tram station can get a 24 hour pass for 10.40 euros (2x aldults Sept 2024) covers all metro/tram/local buses. bus 83 a good journey that takes you along the coast to Rockley, nice beach and lovely park to walk around. buses come evey few mins.

United KingdomFirst three morning breakfast absolutely perfect and ran smoothly but sorry to say as far as I'm concerned the next four morning breakfast was a disaster kept running out of coffee and cold orange drinks at seven fifteen the sausages were lukewarm and backed beans seemed to be left over from day before also shortage of cold meat and tomatoes felt sorry for guests arriving late as I say First 3 morning perfect even salt and pepper seems the 2 men in charge on the first 3 morning had it running like clockwork but didn't see them from Monday onwards just the 2 women perhaps they were new also the first 3 morning every was prepared by 7 o clock ready to go but the 4th morning onwards the were certainly still trying to get organised i/e coffee and cold drinks machines but after all this I will still return I enjoyed my stay
