Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe room looks like it was some kind of a hospital or nursing home before. Room is quite small and toilet smelled strong…
pretty close to the subway station. There are lots of supermarkets, restaurants and bakeries close by. Quite a fair price for Paris.

PolandThe top part of the bed and the ladder are very uncomfortable. It is easy to hit your head above the top part of the bed, when you get up/sit down.
The check in and check out were fast. No water or tea in the room, but hotel has some vending machines and McDonald is located beside the building, so it is possible to get food and drinks quickly.

United StatesCheck if the bunk bed works for who you book, its not very easy for older kids without dexterity. Its fine for normal people. Once up its super comfortable with a good bed, lights, charging port etc!
Breakfast, the staff were very helpful. It worked out as we were three people.

United KingdomRoom was basic but nice and clean, staff were friendly on arrival. Felt very safe access to outside doors needed the room key late at night and lifts and stairwells needed key access too. Not too far away access by train or bolt for around 12 euros straight to the Eiffel tower!!

United KingdomLocation, price, staff.
Budget hotel that does exactly what it is meant to do. Offer a service on a budget. We had 2 rooms on different floors, 5 in my family. Breakfast was adequate and the location was great. About 30 mins away from main attractions. Metro station is 5 mins walk away, and the slowest serving McDonald's in the world ( just our opinion) is right next door. Luggage can be stored for free, after you check out which is handy. You can fill up water bottles from their fountain in the dining room too which was excellent Overall a very pleasant stay, and I would recommend.

United KingdomSome of the staff were lovely and some of the staff were less than friendly, no smiles, hellos and one questioned us when we checked out the breakfast room. We decided not to book breakfast if we could not even check it out! It would have been lovely to have tea and coffee in the rooms. Travelling with a disabled person is exhausting and Macdonald's is not open until later and going down to a vending machine in nightwear, not what I want to do. However, we did enjoy our stay in Vanves, a good location to get to Monet's House and Versailles.
A great sized room and bathroom. Very comfortable beds and excellent value for money. We were pleased with our stay and experience. The cleaners are excellent. Vanves felt like a safe neighbourhood. Parking was great.

United KingdomLocation wasn’t ideal as not walking distance to some of the attractions I wanted to visit. However, Ubers were cheap enough.
The property was clean, with good facilities and friendly staff. Check in/Check out was easy. There was nothing that I didn’t like about my stay, the rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels, the rooms are small but cozy and homely. A pleasant experience.

GermanyThe room was very small like we expected. And the blanket was dirty. The shower room was very small, so it was little bit hard to wash. There is extra fee if you want to park after check-out, eventhough our check-in time was midnight.
We chose this hotel because of we had to attend to the expo. It was quite alright location. Also, it is about 30min to Paris center, so you can tour around Paris as well. The breakfast was alright. The parking lot was alright.

QatarThe hotel is affordable and conveniently located, just a 3-minute walk from Metro Line 13, with a McDonald’s next door and a Mexican restaurant across the bus stop. The room is quite small, with a transparent glass bathroom door, a separate toilet, and the sink located outside the shower room. There’s no designated space for toiletries, which might be inconvenient for longer stays. However, it’s manageable for a night or two. A good budget-friendly option for short stays.
