There's some dodgy looking people on that street in the evening (it was a Friday) and didn't feel that safe, though just around the corner there's a street full of restaurants & bars.

Basic hotel very close to old town, good value for money, parking underneath hotel, friendly staff, good for 1 night stay.

Stayed for a night. Had all we needed.

The only person we interacted with was the receptionist who's a lovely lady. The location of the hotel isnt that great as the moment you step outside you will only see drunk people, gypsies and beggars however its quite close to the town center. 10 mins walk to the center. The hotel has underground paid parking available for 16 euros for 24 hrs and serves breakfast which can be paid for at the reception. The parking entrance/exit is quite tight so note that for reference if travelling in a large vehicle. We were on a BMW x3 and it was a little bit of struggle. The rooms are fine for a budget hotel, has tv, desk fan, table and an ensuite so serves the purpose. There's also a lift for the rooms in upper floors. No shops nearby to buy anything (drinks, snacks, etc). however a 15 mins walk is where all shops, pubs, restaurants are.

The location however is a bit dodgy - a lot of sketchy people around and felt not very safe at night. We had to go back to the bar for an hour one night as there were people screaming and arguing outside the hotel entrance. The room had a lot squished dead mosquitoes on the walls and ceilings - which hadn’t been cleaned. One night, we got a cockroach out of the room which was crawling around and there was also a smaller one in the bathroom. The room was also very hot - no aircon in the room but window and a fan given (thought covered in dust). I understand the budget nature of the place so some of these things can’t be helped and it was an oversight about aircon when booking so our own fault.

The staff at the property were really nice and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the space in the room was more than expected! The location and proximity to the old town (Vieux-Lille) was great and liked the pin system for opening the doors to hotel room.

No air conditioning, the rooms are super hot in summer. Old place, not as new and clean looking as it looks in the photos. Receptionist was really unpolite. The breakfast wasn’t worth it (no vegan options and no vegan milk, just 1 cheese which changes every day, so if you are vegetarian and you don’t like the one option- you can just eat the sweet)

Parking was not easy in the underground garage, very small space to navigate your car, window was locked, room very hot, no air conditioning, little mobile vent was provided but did not have a good night sleep

The location is great! The best part is the staff. My son forgot his silver bracelet in the hotel. I called them and they return it by post to my address. Special mention is for Ocean, Horry and Saurabh. You guys made my day!

Was a holiday period so the price was too expensive for a budget hotel. Car park was full on our first day. Breakfast just ok (good for 8 € ) but nobody checks If you have paid or not! And they do not clean the tables. Reception staff talks a little English. Entrance, reception, corridors and rooms are more like a hostel not a hotel. The smell of the corridor carpets is horrible. No air condition and it’s impossible to sleep on a summer night. You have only soap and towels (very very poor quality) in the room. Even no hair-dryer.

Excellent location with walking distance to the restaurants street. 5 minutes to the cathedral and 6-7 minutes to the center. Entering the rooms with a code other than a key is very useful. Car park large and economic If it is not full.

I did notice one small issue with cleanliness: one of the paper cups provided in the bathroom appeared to have water in it and looked like it may have been used before. Fortunately, I noticed it before using it, but it was a bit concerning. Aside from that, everything else was excellent, and I truly enjoyed my stay.

I had a great overall experience at the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was impressively fast. Everything was well-organized and pleasant.
