How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room was a bit small, which is very standard for european cities but still, I wouldnt recommend 3 people to stay in one room even if its triple, there wasnt room left for our luggage.
We loved the breakfast and location! The staff were kind and recommended lots of fun places to go.

We stayed at Hotel Elysees during our visit to Paris and had a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic, the breakfast offered a good variety of options, and the front desk staffs were truly excellent. A special thank you to Mr. Snoussy, who was incredibly helpful and patient when my daughter accidentally left her iPad in the room. Thanks to his support and the team's consistent communication throughout the UPS international shipping process, we were able to receive it. We’re deeply grateful for the care and professionalism shown—thank you all again!

beds are too short for a person 1.90m, ventilation seems not reach below 20 and is very noisy, cannot sleep when it works, it was not possible to open windows because of the street noise. some towels have not been changed when we arrived

A health faucet in the toilet would have been of great help.
Though at a distance from the airport, the location is excellent being pretty close to all the major land marks in the city. The room was a wee bit cramped but considering that we were out during day time its fine.

The AC was mediocre and it was very hot outside. There was no venting in the bathroom with the heat to let out the humidity.

We went during the heat wave and the air conditioning in the room was very weak. It didn’t seem the thermostat was accurate. We weren’t in the room much but it was uncomfortable when we were. For the price they’re charging, they definitely need to invest in adding better AC units. The breakfast was subpar. I would skip the breakfast and go to the many local bakeries nearby.
The location was very convenient to metro, tour buses, and restaurants. The Arc de Triomphe was 2 min walk and Champs Elysee about 8-10 mins. The neighborhood was very clean and felt safe. It was also very close to local bakeries, cafes, and shopping. The gentlemen at the front desk was pleasant and always willing to help. We stayed in the quadruple room which was a good size for Paris. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Room is not that clean, bed is not comfy and they only give 1 pillow. When we checked in the room, it smells like paint. The girl in the front desk was kind enough to offer us a different room the next day since they were fully booked at that time. Fortunately the smell lessened significantly, we just left the windows open the whole time to improve ventilation so we did not transfer anymore.
location was good and the area was safe even at night. The room that was given to us had a nice terrace with good view.

We booked a quadruple room for my family of 4 which i find it quite small.
The hotel is in a central location. The Arc de Triomphe is on the left and if u turn to the right, there is a local market where they sell fresh seafood and fruits.
