Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongWiFi needs to reconnect regularly. It’s too soft for the bed but I get used to it afterwards.
The location is excellent as it locates just above the metro station. There are plenty of cheaper but delicious choices of food nearby. There is a supermarket as well. Rooms are clean.

New ZealandI was dismayed to realise when I arrived in Paris that the very close metro line was closed for the duration of my trip which made reaching the hotel that much more difficult. I think a note from the property before I arrived to assist with transportation would have helped. The local buses and tram did work out ok, it just took longer. The staff could definitely have been friendlier. No criticism of the hotel, but there were definitely people smoking on my floor and you could smell it in the hallway.
Staying in the 20e arrondisement during the summer means very few tourists, you feel like you are seeing Paris as the locals see it. The price for this three star hotel is very reasonable for Paris in high season. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were plenty of supermarkets nearby as well as bakeries. The room was quiet at night.

Czech RepublicOver our stay it was really hot outside and the fan in our room could use replacement for sth more efficient (eg. Air conditioning) in the future. But that was really small issue. Otherwise everything was really fine.
Nice, relatively calm part of the city. Hotel was right next to metro station and 20 mins from Paris Est train station by metro. Felt safe at night. There was also friendly receptionist 24/7 present and we could communicate in english. Room was clean and had everything we needed. We didnt have breakfast as there were many bakeries around for morning coffee and croissant.

the location was a bit far from the typical sightseeing buildings but it was close to a metro station and also close to supermarkets so it didn’t really matter that much!

AustraliaNO AIRCON, no fridge in room. Water in shower takes ages to heat up.
Was less expensive than many hotels. Had someone on the desk 24/7. Close to Metro and tram - location excellent IF you like the downmarket, community, immigrant feel of the 20th arrondisement.

United KingdomA 3 star hotel with no fridge in the room is a disappointment especially for the period we went on. The stuff were very nice and allowed us to use the kitchen fridge but it was still inconvenient.

IrelandA bit loud at night with Sirens from police and ambulance I believe. However, its not something the hotel can control
Room was clean and adequate for the short trip. It was also located next to a metro and other small stores. This was great and added to the convenience altogether.

NetherlandsWell the toilet had a funny smell the last day and the breakfast option was a little short although fr the price I think it was quite fair.
Room was pretty much what we expected for the price, clean and just enough space for me and my family.

United StatesVery nice hotel. Clean with cubby holes and hangers to keep clothes and luggage organized. Tub shower with plenty of room. Window overlooked street with great people-watching from our window. Great grocery store with good variety just across the street. Chicken's King, a fast food place next to the grocery store, was also a fun experience. The location was a little far from Paris center but very close to the famous cemetery and Belleville, and there is a metro stop just outside hotel entrance. The room doors are a little loud when closing so if people are up late, can be hard to sleep.

TurkeyThey were so helpful, and they let me check in one hour earlier. And I left my luggage before check in and after check out in a safe locked place. The room was quite good and comfortable and clean enough. Location is perfect. The hotel is literally next to the m3 metro line. There is a market just across the street. I am quite satisfied with my stay at this hotel.
