How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bathroom was very small, but the not unexpected with the hotel being in an older building.
Handy location it’s in an area that has a lot of local flavor. Hotel interior is very nice. Rooms are small but cozy. The staff was very welcoming and very hospitable. Within a minute of a Metro stop.

Hotel restaurant didn't have options available. It would have been nice to have something available as quick options for a light snack.
The location of the hotel was good with plenty of nice restaurants around. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were kept clean and facilities well maintained. Buffet breakfast was good with nice options.

The hotel is very cozy and nice. Our room is complete and the bed was so comfortable. The location is also very good- just maybe less than 5 mins from the metro. There are also many restaurants around the area.

The rooms were quite small and carpeted. But otherwise, everything was comfortable.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was at a great location and very close to the next subway station. They have a beautiful garden in the back where it is very calm and peaceful. Nice place!

As an American who speaks pitiful French, watching the TV was useless because everything was in French. I thought there was an option for English language, but If so, I could not figure it out.
Staff at front desk were all very welcoming and helpful. They gave several close by dinner options and the one we chose was excellent. The breakfast had a wide selection. Bathroom was luxurious and even had a heated seat and bidet.

This place offers all you could need - kind and helpful staff/reception, clean rooms, comfortable beds, excellent quality of interior and design, perfect location—quiet, but still very close to all you need for a perfect stay! Just sorry I could not try the breakfast, but definitely will do next time when I'm back in my preferred hotel! Thank you!

One morning we had to leave before 6am and had a hard time getting out of hotel, but we found a side door eventually.
I loved the styling of the room - very moody and wallpaper was a homey, beautiful touch. Even though we arrived before check-in from our international flight, they allowed us to use a restroom to freshen up and stored our bags for us - one problem solved. 3 people traveling in Europe without having to book 2 rooms - 2nd problem solved. Made it a little squishy for 3, but we were traveling for a long time so had big bags - that was on us. Management was very welcoming.

Nothing - always perfect!
Best staff in Paris! We stay here every time we come to Paris and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. They are such a delight :) A 5 min walk from the Metro, making you feel right in the middle of the action, yet the hotel itself is dead silent at night time. Easy to sleep for the light sleepers! Beds and pillows very comfortable. Shower/water pressure is perfect. Breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts you'll get - everything is delicious and the staff are lovely. Also a bonus to be able to leave your bags on the last day while you explore the city.

Good location near Place de Clichy and great facilities. The breakfast was amazing and the staff are helpful and friendly. The garden is an oasis when the rather outside is hot.

Some rooms need a little touch up.
