Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt would’ve been nice to have had an extra pillow. I’m sure that they would’ve provided this. It was just a little late when we got there..
Excellent location and very friendly staff on our arrival. Parking is close by either in car park or on the street. A lovely little bar café just outside on the corner where again the staff were extremely helpful..

United KingdomNo parking. A convenient public car park nearby but with luggage a bit inconvenient. We stayed during a heatwave and found the air conditioning to be lacking the oomph to cool us at night.

GermanyIt’s was a very hot day and the rooms were very hot.. the fan didn’t manage cooling it down and the night was hot. The breakfast area is really to small for the size of the hotel and since the issue seems to be repeating maybe a solution should be taken into consideration? We wanted to leave early, as we’re on the road but had to wait 30 min till a table was free to dine. I feel like the price we payed for the night was overall not rational to what we got.
The location is very good.. in the Centre but yet quiet. The beds were clean. The staff were nice.

Our top storey room had a cathedral view... albeit over a slightly tired courtyard. Breakfast was good: pastries, etc.

United KingdomWe decided not to have breakfast as the dining area was small and basic. In our bathroom the grouting in the shower was black on some places and really needed a good clean. Otherwise the bathroom was very clean. Directions to the public underground car park would have been helpful. It was fairly close but If you had a large amount of luggage it might be difficult.
The location was great as it was near enough to walk to the river and the cathedral. At first the hotel looked rather austere and the reception on the first floor was unusual, however it was easily accessible because of the lift. The room was clean and bright with a comfortable bed.

United Kingdomunfortunately we arrived in the middle of the canicule/heatwave so the lack of air-conditioning which would probably not normally be a problem in Orleans made for a very warm bedroom. The hotel had provided fans which did help a little. The restaurant that the hotel recommended as being open on the Sunday night (the hotels own restaurant being closed on Sunday) was very unhelpful and just said "sorry we ae not open". So we had to find an alternative ourselves.
good greeting at check in. The young lady spoke some English so with my "little" French it was relatively easy. She also helped us with an extra towel.

United KingdomThis is a charming hotel in an excellent location in the centre of Orleans. There’s a public car park just opposite, affiliated with the hotel so to park overnight cost €5.50 which seems very good value to me. All staff we met were very pleasant and friendly. The room was perfectly fine. We booked a triple which had a double and single bed (preferable to a sofa bed) and we all had a good night’s sleep. It’s maybe a 5-10 min walk to the Cathedral with lots of bars and restaurants much closer. Orléans is a beautiful and vibrant place and I wish we could have spent longer there but we were stopping off en route. I would stay at the Hotel Marguerite again.

United KingdomShower was missing a door meaning water could go into bathroom making it slippery. The shower head does not attached properly to the wall meaning it just fires at the wall unless you hold it or wedge it somehow. Room was very warm and this was in May, would be extremely hot in July - it's strange because as soon as you open the bedroom door into the corridor this space is air conditioned but it didn't reach the room.
Good sized room with comfortable bed. Dog friendly and good safe parking in underground car park Cheval Rouge 100m away for only €5 per day. Park there then give ticket to reception at the hotel. Location is excellent almost in the centre of town and near the river. Easy to get to from the motorway. Friendly staff. €10 for the dog.
