Being on the ground floor we did get some outside noise from vehicles. Food was at best only average and requires improvement . We had originally booked for three nights on a room only basis , but then extended this by one extra night, somehow this extra night was booked as bed and breakfast and this then changed the whole booking to bed and breakfast , something that we weren't aware of until paying and the hotel reception said that they couldn't alter, even though we hadn't had breakfast, therefore increasing the cost. Beware of scolding hot water from the bathroom taps !

It is a little run down and outdated, most of the furnishings are quite cheap; in some areas comparable to a premier inn and not ‘luxury’. It would have been nice to see furnishings to match the style and period of the castle. Our ‘comfort room’ on the top floor was tiny, and the price didn’t feel justified despite being ‘in the castle’.

The Chateau is lovely, with some nice grounds and a swimming pool too. Nice pool and nice bar downstairs. The main redeeming quality was that the dinner was absolutely sublime. (Dinner table must be booked in advance) We almost didn’t eat at the restaurant as we felt disappointed by our room however we’re so glad we did. The quality of the food for just 35€pp was fantastic. Breakfast the following morning fine, a continental style buffet. Would have liked to see some hot dishes on the menu to match the night before however appreciate it’s not always feasible. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, in particular all of the dining staff. Ideal location for Le Shuttle.

They couldn't give us a table in the restaurant. It is a very hot summer and there wasn't even a fan in the room. We only wanted a croissant and coffee for breakfast. E36 is very expensive.

the room was very small, considering I had my dog with me and had to sleep in my room. My dog sleeps in a crate which obviously takes up some space. My room was on the first floor and had a lovely view out to the garden at the rear of the building

We had a table booked at the restaurant for 8pm as .7pm was full. Due to eating with a 8 year old we pre ordered to speed things up. Unfortunately this was not the case with a 40 min wait for starters and just over an hour for the main. All the food was good apart from the butchers piece which was over cooked and small.
