How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great hotel in a good location, 10 mins walk to the centre of town. Rooms were very comfortable, nice and quiet too. Good safe parking at the back of the hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The mattress was a bit too firm for me. The bathtub in the newly remodeled bathroom was very long but too narrow to properly relax. It was a odd choice to choose such a tub. The shower stall didn't have a door so one had to be careful to not get the floor around it wet.
The room was large and the staff was very nice. The location is great for exploring the wine country. The hotel wasn't very crowded so it was easy to find a parking spot in front of the hotel. A good bargain for 2 beds.

Breakfast was a bit of a scrum, everything had to be loaded onto a tray including cups and cutlery. Room was very hot and portable air conditioning unit very noisy.
Lovely spacious room. Excellent shower, and great location just a short walk into the village. Good access from autoroute.

Tea coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice, plus a cool water dispenser in the corridor.
Warm welcome and good quiet location on the edge of a charming village. The breakfast was so much more varied than an ibis! Eggs to self boil, cheese, ham, pastries, bread, yoghurts and much more! Thank you!

There could have been more choice of items for their paid breakfast
Conveniently located for the centre of town and restaurants, free open air car parking which was great for our van with bike rack and a large family roon that was comfortable for our family of four and our dog.

All other areas but room needs are a bit dated and needs renovation. The knowledge of English could improve a lot.

Great location for an overnight stop as we headed from UK to south of France. Close to autoroute and a lovely town. Very welcoming staff and nice breakfast.

The shower did not provide much water pressure - little more than a trickle
Good-sized room with comfortable bed, very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. Room was reasonably cool on a very hot day. Aircon unit provided - useful but noisy.

Air conditioning was very, very noisy. By far the biggest problem was that the restaurant was closed - and half the restaurants in the village were closed too - which meant that one night we had to tour round to find somewhere to eat, and on another evening we drove to Beaune to find a restaurant. We stayed at the hotel twice: once on 7 - 8 August and the other on 12 - 13 August.
Staff were great; room was good.

The room had a slight damp smell but not overpowering and there were a couple of stains on the carpet.
The lady on reception was very welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and good value and close to the town for dinner. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced.

Superbe service in a simple but clean and kind environment. Good breakfast with fresh orange juice and freshly cut fruit. Great stop to go to the South. Top value for money!

The hotel restaurant closed a couple of years ago and there is no sign of it returning, so you have to plan on eating out for dinner. Portable air conditioning in the bedroom was much appreciated but quite noisey.
A pleasant enough hotel in a good location for wine enthusiasts. Beginning to look a little tired in places, but still does an excellent cold buffet breakfast (with egg boiler).
