United KingdomI think for a 4 star hotel it could be a good idea to make a little welcome plate when people arrive, its often a long drive either from the South of France or from the North of France, or neighbour countries and there isnt a minibar in the rooms, so no snacks, no drinks except for water, no cookies etc you can of course go to reception and ask or take some room service. Overall its not a big problem but just an idea to make it even better.

The breakfast was simple for a 4* (no eggs), but perfect for us. The coffee was excellent and served to us by a human, which is a welcome novelty these days.

Stunning location, beautiful buildings, the booking.com pics don’t do it justice. The bed was huge and very comfortable!! Set menus to choose from in the restaurant, but worth it for the experience and flavours that the talented chef produces, up there with Michelin Starred food I’ve had before!

United KingdomCoffee machine in the room would be great. We didn’t have a shower (bath with shower tap) but this was the last room available at the time of booking.
Hotel set in wonderful grounds and a great location. We were en route to the Alpes and the hotel and village were a nice deviation from the motorway. We didn’t eat in the restaurant as the only offer (Saturday evening) was 2 tasting menus, but the food looked delicious and would definitely try on another visit. There are other restaurant options in the village. We were travelling with 2 dogs and they loved the large garden and orchard.

We booked the suite which was very spacious and comfortable- loved the roll top bath in the huge bathroom, thoughtful toiletries. Travelled with our 2 dogs and there was plenty of outdoor space and neighboring fields for exercise. Staff were lovely and our meal in the restaurant was something else. Magnifique!!

The few staff they did have ranged from highly experienced to zero experience & unfortunately this was noticeable during the evening meal service. No amount of extra bread offered could disguise the fact, unfortunately.

United States1) there is no air conditioning, so the only option to cool the room is to open the windows…which do not have screens. For rooms on the ground floor (our room), opening the window also allows access to insects or other animals, and not everyone feels safe sleeping on the ground floor with the window open. The area is safe, but the open windows and lack of air conditioning might be an issue for some guests. 2) the bathroom is very small and lacks space to put toiletries, makeup, etc.
1) the on-site restaurant food and service, 2) views from the property, both from the room and seating available outside, 3) safety and security of a small village, 4) convenient for a day trip to Troyes, 5) cleanliness of the room.
