    That we didn’t stay more

Very cozy, clean, our room had a view to the small square that was quiet or had a local fare. Mathieu was extremely kind and helpful. For the breakfast tea they had a mini sand clock to measure three different times, and it was these small touches that really made the difference

Are you serious? The only bad thing is having to leave.

The best coffee in france. Service was amazing. We loved everything about our stay. The entire staff is cheerful and oh so thoughtful. This was our second visit and we will be back. Hands down, our favorite hotel in France.

We hesitated between choosing a hotel in Argelés beach and the staying at the centre of the village (further from the beach) and could not be happier that we chose this hotel. The location is great, in the heart of the charming village and close to the train station, shops, restaurants. The welcome was warm and service very attentive. The room was lovely and luminous. We loved the breakfast, served on the terrace under the plane trees.

Everything. The room was really well done, aesthetically and comfort-wise. The property is immaculate. The breakfast is served (weather permitting) in a delightful square behind the building (there is a patio door that opens right onto the square). The hosts were so warm and friendly. Parking is free near the town hall, which is a short walk from the property. We had dinner in town at a restaurant recommended by our host, and it was great. Don’t be put off by the non- beachfront location. This place is worth your while.

For the price, location, welcome and facilities, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Argelès. 6 minutes from the station ( Mathieu offered to meet us) it is a fantastic base from to explore the region.

With the room being in the attic the room was very warm as to be expected, but turning off the heat and opening the windows helped. Great to have a bit of fresh air as well. Being the attic room the sloping ceiling was a bit of a nuisance but again it was to be expected.

Mathieu was an excellent host. Nothing was too much of an ask. The hotel is located right in the middle of town and at Christmas was a special treat with all the lights and decoration. The room was very clean and well equipped, even with a brand new delognhi coffee maker. Breakfast a real treat served in a cosy dining room with the fire going.

From our arrival when our host Mathieu offered to collect our luggage from the train station to the attentive breakfast service with delicious food offerings, the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff the level of service we received exceeded our expectations. The cafe bar was a welcome addition for pre dinner drinks. We loved our stay and can't wait to return!

    The squeaky stairs !

Everything! A lovely welcome from Matheiu and Jonathan and their friendly staff . The mix of modern and old in this lovely building is very well done with old flood tiles snd new wooden floors, lovely furnishings, prints and paintings blending perfectly. Breakfast is served on the outside square, consisting of fresh local breads , croissants yogurt, fruits , egg , cheese snd freshly squeezed orange juice made in house .The lovely furnished bedroom ( absolutely spotless!) with fresh , crisp white bed linens , fluffy towels in the ensuite, well stocked mini bar and tea / coffee too all add to such a lovely stay , and not forgetting great air conditioning! With just 5 rooms , think compact and bijou . This is a lovely, cosy, professionally run B and B in mint condition. It is ranked 3 stars ? Way too low ! 5 stars in our opinion .

Such a beautiful hotel, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were decorated to an amazing standard and spotlessly clean. We overlooked the square it was just lovely. And a fridge in the room was a very welcome bonus. Breakfast was just perfect served in the square, generous serving and very tasty. Arrival was well organised, with excellent contact from the hotel to organise collection of our bags from the car, parking was free and just minutes from the hotel.

Lovely B&B, small and cosy. Very kind and helpful staff. Our room – overlooking the village small square - was very clean, comfortable, big enough. Breakfast was simply delicious: breads/jams and cakes are home-made, goat cheese and lemon jam are worth a try! Free parking space within 5’ walk. We felt very well received and stayed longer than planned.

it was all good for me but just be aware that the property is very quiet and the steps are very creaky! i crept up the stairs so as not to annoy anyone...

it is a beautiful Buidling in a simply perfect location. the people were nice and the village was beautiful too! oh, and if you love cats there is a very friendly cat normally asleep on the chair outside the attic room. i loved that!

Fabulous hotel and Mathieu is the ultimate host. Warm and funny and they have done an amazing job of renovating the building and creating lovely rooms, light and airy. We only stayed one night, but this is a perfect spot for two or three nights. The bedroom was a great size, with a comfortable bed, two armchairs and large wardrobe. A fridge and aircon. Good sized bathroom with a great shower with a rain shower. Lots of hot water. Nice fluffy towels too. Our room was overlooking a bar in the square, but never heard a thing at night a sit was so quiet. Parking is close by, just a couple of minutes walk and free. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants close by too. And then there is the breakfast!!!! A virtual feast. We sat outside in the square under the tree and were served fresh OJ, freshly cut plates of fruit, a large selection of breads and pastries, cheeses, a choice of cooked eggs (but not poached) and great coffee. Thanks Mathieu, a wonderful way to end our trip through France. Like the full stop at the end of a sentence.
