Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LuxembourgThere was no iron and iron board allthough it was mentioned in the description. I needed one and left mine at home. So I was not happy at all about that. There was a lot of noise in the night with the parking on the right hand side of the appartment until 3 o’clock in the night. It was quit annoying. The weather was warm and you needed the windows open. The first night it was cold and I would have preferred to find an extra bedcover in the cupboard. Something you could put in the appartment. We did not like the fact that we needed to take of the bedsheets, do the dishes and bring the dustbin out because we paid for cleaning as mentioned in our booking. It mentioned nowhere that we had to do this and than we had a lot of email discussion with your office. We were not happy about that.

United KingdomSpace is limited for the ensuite which means the shower room and toilet are separate - it’s a drag to wash your hands after a loo visit but you cope! I’d suggest on a refit, merging these 2 rooms together, and changing the black tiles for white to make the room look bigger. Again, we knew what to expect but others might not. A long sweeping brush is also needed to facilitate keeping the floor clean but I managed with the small brush and dustpan.
This is a very centrally located property with private parking right outside. The property is near the park which is very popular and only 2 mins walk from Place Stanislas. The room we had (Alexander) is on the 2nd floor (no lift) but the steps are an easy climb. This was our 2nd stay (June 2023) so we knew the property well. The bed linen and towels were fresh and good quality. The bedroom has lots of natural light.

JapanThere are quite a few stairs, so its not ideal for anyone with a lot of luggage. The free wifi was only *just* fast enough for Zoom meetings.
The room was huge, with everything needed for a lengthy stay (fridge, a proper oven, etc.) I loved the view of Parc de la Pépinière. The property is only minutes from the cafes and restaurants that surround Place Stanislas.

FranceNot enough equipment to self cater properly. Red sofa needs replacing. Coffee machine didn’t work. Payment demands made outside the booking app was very confusing and extremely worrisome.
Central location, bright, good bathroom and personally decorated unlike most modern apparthotels. Comfy bed too!

GermanyThe stairs can be challenging depending on luggage and age as there is no lift. For the parking we weren’t sure at first if we could access, as it seems you are driving into the central park whilst tons of people were walking there (it did not seem like a street nor accessible via car, whilst it is)
We loved the building itself, the available parking, it being central and yet quiet, easy access, the view. We had everything we needed.

UkraineThe bed is comfortable, but if you're not used to the attic, expect headaches. The sofa in the lower part of the apartment is uncomfortable and squeaks a lot.
The hotel is located in the historic center. It is convenient. Near the park, fresh air. At night there was perfect silence, which is important for a good rest, and in the morning birds were singing outside the window. It was wonderful!

NetherlandsMaybe a shower curtain for the tub would be useful...
The property is situated perfect, it is right in the middle of the center. Also being in the park makes it nicer. Very close to everywhere. The staff sends a clear message to enter the building. Free parking is a plus! The building is very original and old. Well equipped room. I wish they had water in the room though, because there is a not a nearby shop to buy, if you check in a bit later. Very quiet for sleeping.

United KingdomThe apartments are all on the second floor so quite a climb but ok. It was very hot weather for some of our stay and the apartment was quite hot. The AC did help to cool the bedroom but was very noisy so couldn’t keep it on over night.
The location right in the heart of the historic part of the city was perfect. We were driving so having free parking right outside the building was excellent and one of our reasons for booking the apartment. We were in Vincent which was a good sized two room apartment simply and elegantly furnished with nice views over the gardens behind. Comfy bed with lovely soft pillows, good shower and nice toiletries in the bathroom. The kitchen area was compact but was adequate to prepare breakfast and simple meals.

United KingdomThere were not enough cooking utensils, i.e., chopping board, sharp knives, large plates...... the kitchen had a good oven and two working hobs but we couldn't use them due to lack of above items. The reply we initially received about the baby cot was very disappointing. The hotel wanted to charge us for delivering one and then taking it away despite it being part of our booking. After a few direct messages on my part the hotel put a baby cot in that was partly broken. It took 5 minutes for the man to arrive so to charge for delivery is a disgrace. The general responses from the staff were poor and slow. I sent numerous messages that did not receive a prompt response about a bath, early check in and the baby cot.
The location was fantastic, 10/10. The Aesop toiletries were a lovely touch. The bathroom was a good size. The flat was well setup in terms of bedroom, sofa, kitchenette

NetherlandsBonsoir l’equipe YOU IN, Offering towels three days after we’ve asked for it (through three different channels: e-mail, SMS and Booking.com messaging) is a bit late; It is in fact completely too late: we’ve already left the apartment. The number of towels for a stay of five nights was completely insufficient (one large and one small per person). The provided amount of toilet paper was insufficient too. The toilet flushing system failed completely: we had to take the lid of to manually pull the pipe to flush the toilet. The kitchen was ill equiped: no bowls for soup or for porridge or for cruesli with milk as breakfast. Nevertheless we had a very pleasant stay: the location in Nancy is just magnificent, the room is small but very charming. Best regards, Evert et Eef
