Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room and bathroom were clean enough, however we weren't given clean sheets daily. Walls were rather thin. Would have liked firmer pillows and mattress (just being picky)
We loved the location, literally a 5 minute walk from Gare du Nord station. We were given the choice of whether we wanted a bath or shower (opted for a shower). Room had a plug in fan and a very nice and cold small fridge freezer which we kept our drinks in. The staff were friendly and approachable and they were able to keep our luggage on the last day after check in until we needed to return to the station. There is also a lift which is quite small so a few trips may be needed if you have lots of luggage. Windows kept sound out once shut. Close to so many eateries, MacDonald's, burger king and KFC plus lots of others, good for convenience

United StatesThis hotel was a great find—comfortable, quiet, and conveniently located near the Gare du Nord station, which made getting around easy. The reception staff were very kind and welcoming. We felt safe throughout our stay, especially with the main doors locked at night for added security. A solid, affordable base for touring Paris. Would definitely recommend!

AustraliaPersonal preference here, but the bed killed me a bit. It wasn't like a rock but it was very very firm. If you like a firm bed then you'll be really happy, but as someone who definitely likes really soft beds I woke up pretty sore. We also found that we struggled for toilet paper! Despite coming into our rooms and doing a clean, we weren't given anymore. I ended up buying a few rolls because finding toilet paper in public restrooms is often difficult, and I was glad because we used some for the room.
The staff were incredibly friendly and very kind. As far as location goes, it really doesn't get better than this. Barely 100 metres to Gare du Nord means you can access anywhere in the city very quickly. There was a vending machine and coffee machine downstairs that I didn't use but looked good. The bathroom was a lot bigger than I was expecting too! The windows block out a good 90% of the noise - if you're a light sleeper like me and wake up at every bump in the night you'll probably do okay. There's a (small) lift so its accessible and the staff run a shuttle bus to the airport which is a bargain if you're travelling solo.

United KingdomReally handy for gare du Nord if you're arriving late, 3 minutes walk away. We had a family suite with 2 rooms and enough beds for 5. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. Soundproofing could be improved but otherwise no issues.

United KingdomWhile my stay was generally pleasant, there were a few downsides. The cleanliness could have been better—not terrible, but the corners, especially in the bathroom, were noticeably dirty. The stairwell, though beautiful with its spiral design, clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. Another small inconvenience was the lack of a kettle and tea in the room. I didn’t check if this was supposed to be included, but it would have been nice to have, especially for a quick cup of tea in the evening. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was still good, and the hotel has a lot of potential with just a bit more attention to detail!
I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk from Gare du Nord, which makes it very convenient for travelers. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated the option to leave my luggage both before check-in and after check-out. My room was on the 5th floor, so I had a nice view from the window. There was also a small balcony, which was a nice touch. The building has an elevator, so getting to my room was easy. The room itself was small, but for a two-night stay, it was just right. It had everything I needed: a comfortable bed with extra pillows and blankets, a TV, and a private bathroom with hot water. Overall, a great choice for a short stay in Paris. I would definitely stay here again!

FranceHotel is a budget style hotel within walking distance of the Gare du Nord. This is what I needed, and I felt perfectly safe walking to it as it is very close by. Check in was easy and my room was comfortable, clean and inexpensive. The bathroom was fine and shower good. I declined the breakfast as I had an early start the next morning. Proximity to the Gare du Nord means it is in a lively area with plenty of places to eat close by if you need to, but equally, there was no street noise coming to the room so I slept well.
